SUPERGIRL GETS HER MAN OF STEEL MOMENT IN SEASON 3 FINALE TRAILER AND PICS

Supergirl returns next week for what looks like an explosive Season 3 finale. Titled "Battles Lost and Won," the episode will see the Girl of Steel (Evelyn Somerhalder) take on Serena (Anjali Jay) and the other two Dark Kryptonians and engage in an epic battle to save Earth from Reign (Odette Annable).
This week's penultimate episode revealed the Dark Kryptonians' plan to use a resurrected Reign to set off a series of natural disasters to wipe off life on Earth and terraform the planet to create a New Krypton - much like Zod planned to do in Man of Steel. The Supergirl trailer hints at another Zack Snyder movie moment coming up when Reign locks her arm around Supergirl's neck and we hear that sickening, crunching sound.
The promo also shows the return of Legion of Super-Heroes team members Saturn Girl (Amy Jackson) and Brainiac 5 (Jesse Rath), aka Brainy, for the third season finale (perhaps they didn't go too far after all), with Team Supergirl rushing to save the citizens of National City from the destruction raining (pun intended) down upon them.

The new set of images also hint that Sam will be back from her little life-saving side-trip to the Valley of Juru stronger than before, and perhaps even ready to take on her villainous alter-ego in the Fortress of Sanctuary.
