We were all at the Dx bugging Sodapop and Steve . And daily routine of ours messing up there shelves or " miss placing " there tools there boss told us to get out about once a week , but today I was really think about the beautiful brown eyed girl I had fallen in love with . " love , man are you serious " Steve said and the rest of the gang look at me with the mouths gapping open " yeah I want to you know get uh married, but how the hell am I supposed to prepose . Our 3 year anniversary is in a couple of months so I'm guessing I'll do I then . " what if we find a alley rat and tame in and tie a ring to its tail and set it loose in Laila's house and tell it to crawl up on her bed while she's sleeping and gently wake her up to find her ring , oh and we can put a sign around it's neck that say " hi I'm Mickey " Two-bit offered " Do you know what the f*** would happen if we did that , She would come to Bucks and beat the shit out of me then I'd tell her it was your idea then I would join her to beat the shit out of you " Dally said clearly annoyed " well I'm out of ideas then " Two-bit said while shaking his head .
The whole gang just glared at him and shook our heads . The dude is a real nut-job . *ding* " hello welcome to the Dx can I help you " Sodapop said " uh yea I brought my car in her a couple of days ago y'all said it would be read by today " some red headed chick asked " oh yes ma'am let me show you were it's at " Soda left the go show her the car or something or other " Does she like outdoors stuff" Darry asked who was on his lunch break " uh yeah she likes the ocean and stuff " I said ( I just noticed that I have been saying Dallas said Instead if I said sorry if that's confusing but I'll fix it ) "we'll take her to the beach and do it there " Darry said stating the obvious " we are in Oklahoma u know I don't see any beaches around " Steve said also stating the obvious " well Dally said that there 3 year something or other is in a couple of months he can just save up with you winnings all your jokey stuff " Darry said " yeah that a good idea " I said happy they did all the thinking for me

So I started saving up my money for my winning and anything I got out of Buck a dime I find out on the streets . Taking Laila was going to be a hella expensive but I'd figure it out

4 weeks later
"So Dally how much money do you have saved up " Ponyboy asked
" ehh about $250 "
" o yeah well I got $300" Two-bit said proud of the $50 difference " yeah I don't have to buy a ring so I can pay for Johnny and Ponyboy to come " Two-bit offered
" wait wait wait why do they have to come including you Two-bit "
"Did you really think we were going to let you propose with out us there " Steve said Thinking he was so smart
" uh yeah SORTA "
" well your wrong me and Sodapop have been saving money to to pay for gas and I know all the prices down there and Two-bit you are not going to need $300 "
" that money isn't just for gas you know" Two-bit said with a mean look on his face " oh yeah then what's it for " Sodapop asked " well um uh we may uh get hungry on the way down there " Two-bit said clearly lying " I'm not saying with the kids in the room " I've been in the room while Dallas talks about all the nasty stuff him in Laila do when there alone and Johnnys the age as Soda we can hear it ! " Ponyboy yelled " well , fine then ..... " Two-bit then looked to one side and then to another and then .......... ran out the door " that dudes out out of it " Steve said " yeah but u gotta love him " Soda said defensively . Soda could never hate anybody . I could I hated 90% of the people I know every one except the gang and Laila oh and her friend Leeann she pretty cool too ( jk jk ignore that part 😂😂🤙🏽)
A few weeks later

I finally got a good enough engagement ring for Laila . I liked the diamond because if u put it in the sun it kinda changed colors like her eyes do brown to hazel . It was in a white velvet box and I hid in my drawer at bucks . Knowing Laila she would find it if I kept it at the Curtis house . It was now a month before our anniversary and I was actually excited. I had been that way for a long time . When I first met Laila I was 17 I was with Slyia at the time but soon broke up and I wanted to get to know this badass at one of bucks parties who ways going wild on the dance floor and taking shots of tequila like nothing she was beautiful to add on to it after me and Slyvia were over I had to get know this girl . She really took care of Johnny better than all of us I'm mean she has more of a motherly look than any of the gangs does so I guess that helped some . Johnny didn't cry only when we found him in the lot and when they talked about other than that he was the toughest one here . You know dealing with his parents and stuff he was half starving every time we ever went out to eat and Laila knew that she would pay for Johnnys meal instead of mine . If your wondering why she would sometimes pay for my meal is because we liked to go back and forth to help each other save some money . Ponyboy really helped her enjoy reading I secretly liked to her then read story out loud it was like another world u could jump into for a little while if u ever got annoyed with being who you are. Or where your at in life it was a temporary escape and I had told Laila that before and she totally got it understood very word and said it with out making me sound weak or some nerd . She understood everything I said and she knew the score she was perfect.

The day the leave to the beach
" hey babe where going on a road trip "
" where to " Laila asked
" you will have to see" I had the gang leave a few hour before so they could get the picnick set up and everything so I would have to worry about Darry stayed home though because he had to work . He wanted to come but he couldn't but from what Laila knows it's just us . We left pretty early about 6:00 o'clock it was going to take about 12 hrs to get there ( Ig that right idk) we drive and drive talked and talked stopped for some Dariy Queen and this Whatabuger place it was pretty good . We finally got there and when we did Laila was speechless " Oh wow Dal it's so beautiful out hear " Laila said completely fascinated . She wasn't the only one living in a dream she was wearing a long sun dress that showed lots of cleavge and showed of her curves but I wasn't only in love with her body I was in love with her . We walked about half a mile down the beach then we saw the picnic the gang had set up . Everything we liked and casually the sun was setting in a beautiful rays of pink and purple and orange " Wow Dally this is amazing just amazing, I bet Ponyboy would of loved to see this " Laila was always think of the gang . " huh I bet "
" hey got get in the water have some fun when the next time we will be on the beach like this "
" oh okay " Laila said innocently
I then pulled out the the box and the white roses form in side the basket and wrote look up in the sand " hey Laila look at this " she read it quick and through he head to the sky " what , I don't see anything " Laila said confused She then looked down at me and she made a face I had never seen her make before pure joy and excitement disbelief and happiness she was gold ( don't worry you stay!) Laila you are my heart I want you more than anything in the word . I'm ready to be with you for the rest of our lives I'm sorry for when we used to fight and hate on each other and I'm so thankful for the thing we have done together . You are the most beautiful thing in the world nothing could compare to you . You are my best friend and my only love will you ? " omg " she jumped in to my arms and cried yes , Dal always . The gang came cheering form behind this massive rock going crazy back flips and no handed chartwheels . We we are so happy ( just say the teleported back to Tulsa okay !!!) when we got back Darry had made a 5 star meal for us and decided to go take the guys to the dingo thankfully so we could be alone. The food was really good but Laila could focus she was in another world she was totally pure happy that made me happy to I truly do love her " hey babe let go over to Buck and " celebrate " some more " she smirked and lets go let's go let's go  she ran to the door and was so excited mainly from the ring and all but u know that was making her happy too
Let's just say that was the greats night u had eve had !!!!!
