"Wait, Killian is taking you to cover a game?" Ruby asked. Regina, Tiana and Ruby were all out at lunch Friday.

"Why are you two grinning at each other like that?" Regina asked. "Because Graham and Killian don't go to the games for articles," Tiana said. "So then what am I covering?" Regina asked, "Killian," The girls smile.
"Oh stop you're kidding? They made up some little teen fix up to get me to go out with him?" Regina asked.

"Looks that way," Ruby smiled. "Why wouldn't he just ask me out?" Regina mused and tilted her head. "Because he's the boss, Killian is that keep your personal life separate type of guy, and he probably doesn't want to go exerting his authority," Tiana said. "So he's being respectful but he wants you," Ruby smiled.

"For Killian, he probably thinks if he asked you out that he would be harassing you as a boss or being sexist or something. He probably would feel he's pressuring you because you're new and you want to succeed, so he would probably be worried you took it as a manipulative move," Tiana said. "You know him pretty well," Regina observed. "Well, we all know him well, after 8 years, and Graham just has a big mouth and tells us everything," Ruby said. "You slept with Graham, of course he told you everything," Tiana teased.

"Yeah well I'm seeing Emilie now," Ruby winked. Tiana smiled playfully, "the book girl?" Regina asked. "Yeah you could call her that, writes the books section," Ruby smiled.

"Anyway, for Killian, he's just trying to be responsible," Tiana said. "But he wouldn't just have had Graham and him do this game setup if he didn't partly want to ask me out, right?" Regina worried.
"Exactly," the women smiled.  "So what do I do?" Regina asked, now getting anxious.
"You can ask him about it, call him out, Killian is a tough boss, I would say give him a tough Miss Mills," Ruby suggested.

Regina was now nervous all day, Killian came by her desk at 5 pm, "why don't you check out early to get ready for the game? Don't want you late for that Miss Mills," he said instructively. "Ah ok," Regina nodded. "Should I bring my iPad?" She asked. Killian looked confused, Ruby and Tiana couldn't help but giggle softly.

"To you know take notes since I'm covering it?" Regina smiled, "right, Uhh, your ancient pen and paper will suffice, see you there," he nodded and headed off. Regina winked at the girls.

Regina headed out at his kind request. She felt confident in herself after her lunch with the women, they did know him for eight years.

She put on jeans and she even had a jersey from her father being a huge fan. She brought her pen and paper and loved she momentarily flustered Killian asking about what to bring to "cover" the game.

Killian at his place was going over clothes, clearly a jersey was a given, with his jeans, he dressed very classy for work, so this was a completely different vibe.
His hair was perfectly styled, he got blessed with great hair. He headed out after talking to himself in the mirror.

Killian's POV- You can do this, look at yourself, you're bloody talking to yourself in a mirror. I rolled my eyes at myself and then smiled remembering Regina's first article about mirroring ourselves in our relationships. So I guess for me I mirror my bloody insecurity and fear of failure and inadvertently being unprofessional. Wow Killian, you do need to loosen up.

Killian headed out, and got to the arena early, texting Regina his exact location since he had the tickets. Regina arrived on time, and bit her own lip seeing him dressed so casual yet sporty and sexy. "Damn," she said under her breath out loud as she walked towards him.

"Damn," Killian cursed, muttering himself, when he saw Regina with her sexy jeans, a jersey and even a cute ponytail. He smiled lifting his head and waving softly as she came towards him.

Regina grinned, "hi," she got out as he handed her a ticket. "You're on time," he smiled. "Yeah well, it's a game," she smiled.

Regina's POV- My god, and I thought he was sexy with his blazers and vests, this is so unfair. He was so cute in his jersey. Keep it together Regina, don't turn bright red.

"Shall we?" He asked, stopping himself from touching her back to escort her. He cursed himself internally.

They got to their amazing seats, "Wow, I guess your job gets connections," Regina had never been in a box right behind the blue line.
"Yeah well, typically," he smiled humbly and they sat down.

Regina kept trying to tell herself it wasn't a date.

Killian of course wanted it to be a date. Regina cutely got out her pen and paper. He smiled and let out a soft chuckle, "What?" She asked. "Uhh nothing, you want something to drink?" He asked. "Oh umm you buying?" Regina asked. "Well I am the boss and this is a work... thing," he shrugged awkwardly.
"Ah ok, so no booze then? Since it's a .. work.. thing," Regina mused.

"Uhh, ok listen, we both know that's bullshit," Killian said. Regina widened her eyes at him, with a little grin. Killian blushed and focused downward, touching his fingers to his ear.

"Is it?" Regina asked. "Yeah..." he stuttered a bit, "you're not here to cover a game, Graham doesn't go to games to write about them, you see, I have a code, being the boss," he rambled.

"That you don't want to date coworkers because you think it would be pressuring them to go out with you and abusing your authority," Regina stated. Killian stares at her, in wonder. "Uhh Yeah, how did you?" He quirks his head, placing his hand under his jaw nervously.
"I just .. figured that's how you felt, so you kind of fibbed to make this a work thing instead of calling it a date," she said.

"You continue to impress me," he smiled. "So can I put this pad and paper away and we get some beer now?" Regina smiled.
He grinned at her.

Killian's POV- Damn She's so smart and sexy, I can't get over that. "Uhh Yes, put the ancient tools away, and let's relax," I smiled at her.

"Great, And you're still paying right? I mean you are the boss still and make more than I do, I should talk to you about that," Regina teased.

Killian chuckled and the pair got up together to get some drinks, this time Killian didn't hesitate to guide her back gently as she walked ahead.

A/N - don't worry I'll Continue this cute little awkward date haha.
