It was the day Killian's family was arriving, and Regina had some nerves again about this. "Oh honey calm down," Killian said gently as she rushed around the apartment making sure things were tidy and clean, more obsessively than usual.
"I just want you know everything clean, before we go tell them we met 4 months ago, and are having a baby," She made a worried face at him. "Honey, I told you, they will love you, and honestly it doesn't matter how long it takes for people to get to this point, we're in a healthy loving relationship together," he assured her.
Regina relaxed as he calmed her down. Her sister had been there a bit before and after the holidays but had a busy time and couldn't get back out there for New Year's. Zelena squealed with excitement about the idea of being an Aunt, and planned to come visit again soon.
"How are we going to work with the baby?" Regina asked. "Oh honey that's 9 months away almost, don't worry, we'll work it out, technically if you want to work from home you can," He shrugged. "And you said you could bring the baby to work?" She asked.
"Indeed, I can put things in my office, once the baby is a few months," He smiled. "Stop worrying my darling," He gently held her hands.
Killian's family arrived. His brother, Liam and his wife, their two sons, and their father. Regina took a deep breath as Killian opened the door, and smiled.
"Uncle Killian!" the smaller boy, about 4 years old ran to his arms. "Well Hi there," he smiled happily and his older brother and father hugged him. His sister in law, Addy kissed his cheek gently.
"Uhh come on in, this is Regina, can you say Hi?" Killian asked the little boy in his arm, "Hi," Regina said sweetly, "This little guy is Bryan, and the older one here, is Ben," Killian introduced.
"Greetings," Liam and Brennan, equally handsome guys, smiled happily at Regina. "Well, if I didn't know any better," Brennan tilted his head, similarly to Killian, "I would guess something is going on here," Brennan said.
Regina's POV - Oh my god, don't tell me he can tell I'm pregnant?
"She is glowing that's for sure," Addy mentioned with a smile. "Uhh," Regina looked to Killian, "Well, you perceptive people," Killian said wrapping his arm around Regina. "Well have something to tell us son?" Brennan asked.
"Yeah well, I mean, Regina and I are clearly very serious," Killian started rambling. "Yeah we know that about you Killian, he hasn't any woman live with him, ever," Liam said to Regina. "Yeah well, so Regina ... and I..." Killian paused.
"I'm pregnant," Regina finished for him, seeing him get a little nervous. "Ah I knew it, my senses still work in my age," Brennan boasted. "Lovely, another beautiful grandchild," he smiled. "How about giving me a granddaughter?" He winked.
"There you go, about bloody time, you settled down and got a family," Liam playfully pat his brother. "Yeah, well, just, she and I are, great together, and in love," Killian said. "I could tell that, considering you were completely against dating anyone through work ever again, after the last time," Liam said.
"Regina knows all about it," Killian admitted, "Good, honesty is the key to any great relationship," Liam said. "We have that, we're very honest, he's a pain in the ass," Regina teased. "Oh I really like her," Liam said.
Killian smiled at Regina, and kissed her cheek, "I'm a pain huh?" He asked. "In your ways, yes," Regina smiled. "Same," he teased back with a cute kiss. "Well now that's out of the way, we can all relax and get to know each other over the next 4 days," Liam sat back.
"How are you feeling?" Addy asked Regina. "I feel okay, I had morning sickness a bit, but that's it," Regina shrugged. "Mmm, everyone is different," Addy smiled.
Regina's POV -- His family is so great, they're all so supportive. He's so good with the kids, they just love him. I love that he talks to them on their own level. He's going to be such a good Dad. Oh god, am I crying?
"Hormones, that's normal," Addy handed her a tissue. "You ok?" Killian asked softly. "It's normal, she's going to do that a lot," Addy said. Killian gently kissed Regina's head, "I'll have to keep tissues around more," he said sweetly.
The family visit was lovely, Killian and Regina had the days off work to spend with them. Addy and Regina did some shopping, and she recommended some books to her for pregnancy.
Brennan was just in seventh heaven about his younger son being a father soon. He, Liam and Killian were together alone a bit on the last day before they left. "So, nervous?" Liam asked. "I mean, I'm a little I guess, but I love kids, so I'm excited to be a Dad," Killian said.
"Good, if you get nervous, that's normal, just call us," Liam said. "I will," Killian agreed. "You're going to be a great father, just during the pregnancy, she may change a bit," Brennan warned gently. "Well I know that," Killian shrugged.
"No, really, she will, she will cry over nothing, she could get angry over nothing, irritable, anything goes, or she could just be extremely happy nonstop, it depends," Liam said. "Right, I know," Killian shrugged.
Killian's POV - I don't care, I've seen Regina a little sick, a little tired, a little cranky up to this point, I think I can handle her pregnant.
"You call me if my son gives you any trouble," Brennan said to Regina, as they said goodbye at the airport. "I will," Regina agreed with a smile. "Or me, you can call me if my little brother gets out of line," Liam said.
"Younger brother, not little," Killian corrected. "Little," Liam hugged Killian to his chest. Killian wrapped his arm around Regina as the family headed into the terminal. Killian gave the boys some great gifts of toys to take home.
It was now a new year, and Regina and Killian would had a child by this time next year, they headed back to work on January 2nd, and Killian had his morning meeting with everyone.
"Well happy New Year everyone, welcome back, we have a lot of work, I hope you all left your articles on my desk before this," He looked around the room with a stern look. The group nodded at him.
"Great, so as we go into this year, as usual I'll be having some top competitors come in, we'll have a meeting and yell about what they didn't succeed at this term, and then as usual the annual changes pop up," he said.
"What's that mean?" Regina asked softly, "Oh right, I forget you're new still," he winked. "Awww sap," Graham teased. "Shut up," Killian scolded. "I'll explain, it just means sometimes we adjust people's assignments, sometimes we welcome new employees with the new Year, but I'm pretty satisfied with my staff," he grinned.
"Clearly," Graham mocked. "Why is it always you with the quip comments?" Killian asked. "Because that's my thing," Graham said. "Ok, let's get to work," Killian said.
Mary Margaret had called to congratulate Regina and recommended her Doctor so she could plan to have her prenatal care. She made their first appointment for the following week.
They had their first checkup and the Doctor said they would be Due around September. Regina had no more morning sickness, and didn't even seem pregnant.
"What?" Regina looked at Killian at home before bed, "I don't know, I thought you would have more symptoms by now," he shrugged. "Well my boobs are bigger, look," She looked down and puffed her chest. "Mmmm, a bit," He winked.
"I just thought there would be more," He said. "Well, maybe later I'll turn into some Evil Psycho," Regina smiled.
"I guess we will see," He smiled.
A/N- Yeah she's gonna be funny pregnant ......
