Chapter 30 Close

Regina was now just weeks away from delivery, and she was still fairly energetic. Her hormones had somewhat settled and she wasn't crying at the drop of a hat anymore. It made it a bit easier for Killian with her not crying at his every word. 

Killian and she decided on a Neverland theme nursery, it was still quite neutral, with wall shadow stickers of the Pirate ship, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbell from the classic story. Regina put decals on the wall that read 'Never grow up.' 

Zelena had helped them set things up, and was spending time with Regina. It was very rare that Zelena took so much time off, but Regina was quite thankful for it. 

They headed into the office, "Oh umm, I have to get up there first," Killian said at the coffee shop. "Oh," Regina nodded and started to go with him, "No no, get your morning things, and come up," he insisted gently. Regina was confused a bit. 

He hadn't left her side when they went to work the past few weeks, so she wasn't sure why he was doing it now. 

Regina's POV - What's he up to? He was on top of guiding me nonstop, worrying about my bigger tummy, and now he's just leaving me here? I sighed, and tried not to cry about it, that would be silly, I shrugged and got my latte. This baby was really craving milk a lot. 

Regina headed to the office, and as the elevator opened, Killian smiled at her, "What are you doing?" She giggled, and he moved out of the way. "Surprise !!" the entire office said, "baby shower," He smiled, with a wink, helping her off the elevator, with Graham on her other side. 

"Aww, now I'm gonna cry," Regina sighed and her sister stepped forward. "Boss let me in, during the work day," Zelena smiled. "You would just fly in anyway," Killian teased. "And?" Graham smiled at Regina's sister.

Regina's POV- Oh no

"Ohhh!!! It's so cute, look Killian," Regina held up the little baby onesie, "Very sweet," Killian said. Regina cutely opened all the gifts, the office even joined together and got them a stroller system and a cradle. "Thank you everyone," Regina smiled. 

"Ok, I hate to say back to work," Killian said. "You love saying it," Graham scoffed. "True, ok, back to work everyone," Killian said. 

"I'll meet you two for dinner," Zelena smiled. "Where is that?" Graham interrupts. "Wherever Killian picks," Zelena shrugged. Killian started to pick up on something. Regina raised her brow, with Killian, as Zelena left. 

They stared at Graham, "What?" He defended. "Would you like to come?" Killian asked. "To dinner? Excellent!"Graham smiled. "Do you like my sister?" Regina asked bluntly. "What?" Graham asked surprised.

"No," he denied. Killian smirks and raises his eyebrow, "Yeah you do," Killian said. Graham rolled his eyes, "Do not, but can I come? Three is odd number," Graham said. "Yeah, sure, why not, you're paying for yourself," Killian said with a tilt of his head, going back to his office. 

Graham followed him like a puppy, "Seriously? come on you pay," he whined. "Did I hear that correctly?" Ruby asked as Regina sat down, "He likes your sister?" Tiana piped up. "I sensed something, I knew I did," Regina said. 

"Well Graham and Killian are sort OF similar," Tiana said. 

"Are you wearing lip gloss?" Regina noticed when Zelena met them at the restaurant, "What? It's a nice place Killian said," Zelena said. Killian smiled, "What's with you and Graham?" he asked.

"Nothing, we were just chatting," Zelena shrugs and adjusts her hair, "Is that?" Regina sniffs, "New perfume?" Regina asked. "What?" Zelena defends. 

Killian laughed, and Graham showed up, "What's with the new cologne?" Killian asked. "I just wanted to smell nice," He defends. "Hi," He smiled brightly at Zelena. 

At the table, Regina puts her menu down, "Ok what is going on?" She snaps. "What?" Zelena asks, "Don't get upset, the baby," Killian said gently. "Are you two a thing?" Regina asked. 

"No, we just met, we're ... being friendly," Zelena smiled. "Uh-huh," Regina scowled, "She isn't going to be a notch in your bed post," Regina scolded Graham, "Woah, hold on," Graham defended.

"Regina, relax," Killian said softly. She sighed, and looked at them all. "You don't want to upset yourself with the baby," Killian said again. "I just, feel we're being left out of something," Regina said.

"Didn't know you two liked threesomes, or quads," Graham teased. Regina scowled at him, "Regina, we just met, we just are talking," Zelena shrugged. "Killy...." Regina whined. "What?" He turned his head.

"Killy? That's cute," Graham laughed. "Shut up, if you hurt her I'll destroy you," Regina snapped. "Regina!" Zelena gasped, "I can take care of myself, first of all, and we are just talking, and friendly flirting," Zelena defended. 

"UGHHH!!" Regina growled loudly. "Honey," Killian said gently. "No no no, my water just broke," Regina gasped. "Uhhh, get the car," Killian gave his keys to Graham. 

Zelena and Killian gently guided Regina up, "Oh god that's a contraction, holy shit!!" She groaned in pain. 

Regina's POV- OH MY GOD, why didn't the books say it hurt this much? This is cramps multiplied by a thousand! I felt like my stomach was just ripping apart from the inside, and I felt this insane pressure between my legs, almost like the baby was already between my knees. I could barely walk and gripped onto Killian and Zelena. 

They got her into the car, "Move, I'm driving," Killian said. "No way, you're too nervous, get in the back," Graham said. Killian scoffed and got in, next to Regina. 

"Ahhh!! It hurts!!" Regina whined at them, gripping her nails into their arms. "OH god, you're drawing blood, Regina!" Killian whined. "Graham why the hell are you going this way?" Killian snapped. "I know what I'm doing," Graham scolded him back. 

"You two, and everyone just calm down," Zelena said. "Yeah, we can't have the baby entering the world like THISSSS!!!!" Regina squealed, "Come on honey breathe," Killian said. "Oh YOU breathe!!" Regina snapped at him. 

They got to the hospital and got Regina out and soon she was settled into a bed. "Oh FUCKING HELL!!!" she screamed. "Damn is it wrong I like her swearing?" Killian asked. Regina glared at him like she would rip his heart out. 

Killian's POV - It was insanely sexy to hear all her swearing, I couldn't help liking that. She was in a lot of pain though, which I really hated. I couldn't take it away or make it feel better in the slightest. 

Killian gently held Regina's hand and it was finally time to push, "Come on Regina," The doctor encouraged. 

"Come on," Killian whispered against her head, Regina heaved with breath, as she gritted her teeth, "AHHHH!!!" letting out a final scream. 

*Baby crying*

Killian and Regina gasped and smiled, tearing up together, "You have a beautiful little girl," the doctor said. Regina laughed, and cried at the same time, as Killian kissed her, "She's perfect," he said against her mouth.

"Oh Hi little baby," Regina gathered the infant all swaddled. 

Killian's POV - It was unreal, a tiny little baby, soft and beautiful. She stopped crying as Regina held her against her chest. I'm a father. I felt tears fill my eyes, as I smiled down at the little life we created, "Welcome to the world," I muttered. 

"She's us," Regina cried at him, overjoyed. "She is," Killian kissed her head.
