House Lysander came from the far east, sailing across the great ocean to build the city of Green Hill in the Highlands, and establishing themselves as the Western Kings. Their founder quickly took a dark turn during the Age of Ancients. He fell under the influence of the Abyss, surrendering himself to dark powers such as necromancy, and some say, even talking to the Dark One himself. The vicious rumors were never proven, but because of them, House Lysander was despised or feared by the rest of Aetherian.
The Dragon War was the darkest time for House Lysander, especially for the last Western King, Lazare Lysander. The King rode on the back of Kidar himself as the Dragon of the Abyss laid waste to everything in his path with his breath of black fire. Lazare and Kidar became Aetherian's greatest enemies. When they were both killed by Gunnar Karvine, and after he was crowned, the King allowed the rest of House Lysander to live as Lords of Green Hill, and High Lords of the Highlands, which would prove to be a mistake.
