Founded thousands of years after House Vestarr, House Busch is the second oldest house in Aetherian, ruling over the Craglands as their High Lords from Falcon's Reach. One of the only houses to have originated in the ancient country of Chardan, an ancient lord gathered his people on an enormous fleet of ships and sailed west to flee the first War of Light and Dark, just before the first Guardian struck down the Dark One in single combat. They settled into the Stone Mountains of the Craglands and built the great city of Falcon's Reach, one of the most impregnable cities in the whole country. It is unclear who the old lord was, but House Busch became Mountain Kings until the Dragon War.
During the Dragon War, the Mountain King provided Aetherian's united army with half of all its human soldiers. The forces of House Busch fought the hardest against the dark-scaled Draconians and Dragon of the Abyss. After Gunnar Karvine was crowned, House Busch became High Lords of the Craglands and Lords of Falcon's Reach. Despite their assistance in the Dragon War, though, House Busch and House Karvine always had tension between them. There was never serious fighting, only arguments over little things. Those little things turned into an actual war, though, when Robar Busch chose to betray and rebel against his King. Everyone knows what happened next.
