It had been two weeks since Clarke had found Bellamy with the map. Two weeks since Bellamy had told Clarke he intended on destroying villages with innocent people if the grounders continued to attack them. For two weeks they had argued. The fights becoming worse each day. On the fifteenth day of arguments, Clarke had decided enough was enough.
"You know what, do whatever the hell you want! I'm done." Clarke yelled, throwing her hands up in defeat.
"What do you mean you're done?" Bellamy spat.
"I can't do this anymore, if you want to go to war then fine, go to war. But I won't be involved in the destruction of innocent people. I'm done." Clarke said, her voice like venom. She walked into the bedroom and grabbed her bag. She started shoving clothes into the bag when Bellamy stormed in behind her.
"Clarke! What are you doing?" Bellamy asked.
"I can't be here right now. I need some space." Clarke said as she pulled her bag onto her shoulder.
"Where are you gonna go?" Bellamy asked. He didn't believe she'd actually up and leave him.
"Octavia offered me their spare bed now Jared has his own cabin. I'll stay there for a few days." Clarke said as she headed for the door again.
Octavia hadn't offered her the space, but Jared did have his own cabin now so Clarke decided to take her chances.
"Wait, you can't be serious?" Bellamy said when she reached the door.
"Do I look like I'm joking!" Clarke yelled as she spun to face him.
"Don't do this Clarke." Bellamy pleaded, his voice softened slightly.
"I'm sorry." Clarke whispered as she disappeared out the door.
Bellamy stood frozen on the spot. She'd actually left. His anger bubbled over as he flipped the table he had made, over. With a shout of rage, Bellamy kept destroying until there was nothing left to destroy. He dropped to the floor in defeat. Clarke was gone.

A soft knock at the door caught the attention of Octavia and Lincoln. Octavia opened the door to reveal Clarke. Her eyes were red and puffy, her cheeks stained with tears.
"Clarke! What's wrong?" Octavia asked as she opened the door wider.
"Can I stay here?" Clarke whimpered. Octavia had never seen her look so broken and vulnerable.
"What did he do?" Octavia asked as she moved aside to let Clarke in.
Lincoln approached the door to see who had entered his home and looked surprised to see Clarke.
"Is everything alright?" He asked.
"I just need some time away from him right now. I can't handle the fights anymore." Clarke sniffled.
"Oh Clarke!" Octavia gasped as she pulled her best friend into a tight embrace.
Later that night, Octavia sat with Lincoln and Jared on the logs by the fire. She had gone to check on her brother but he had pushed her away. She was worried about him. She was also worried about Clarke. She refused to come out of the cabin. When Bellamy finally emerged from the cabin to eat, he had asked Octavia about Clarke. The action itself told Octavia that there was still hope for a reconciliation between the two of them.
"How's Bellamy?" Lincoln asked Octavia as she stared into the flames.
"I think he's lost without her." Octavia replied.
"Have they always been like this? Most people I've spoken to have said they fight a lot." Jared asked.
"They have their disagreements but lately it's been getting worse. I've heard them screaming at each other until early hours of the morning. They're both too stubborn to back down." Octavia sighed.
