"Your family's hometown. It's the place where they got your name," Damien suddenly tells me, making my eyes widen from shock.

"N-No...you're lying," I tell him with disbelief.

Damien chuckles and lets go of me; "Your uncle Hael brings me here in the past. Like I told you before, we come here three times a year. So yes, the person who brought me to Marie's diner that you got jealous of was Hael."

My cheeks burn as I remember the time I totally wanted to kill the person who brought Damien to the diner that I didn't know about.

I was seriously willing to kill my already dead uncle! How terrible could I be?!

"Damien," I call out as I looked at him.

Damien doesn't say anything and just held my cheeks as I looked at him straight in the eye and say, "I have never been here babe. Do you know how important this is to me?"

"I know," he whispers at me as he kisses my forehead.

Then he wipes the tears that were slowly falling down my eyes.

I was so happy. And I knew that Damien was happy to see me happy too.

"Do you want to look around?" Damien finally asks me.

I take a deep breath and nod my head. Damien takes my hand and intertwines our fingers together.

"Blue Dane Sea Side," I unconsciously say as Damien and I started walking towards the town.

"If I remember right, the founder of this place had Dane as his first name, which is why they named the place after him. Hael goes here to visit his mother, AKA your grandmother," Damien suddenly says, making me stop walking.

"My grandmother's alive?" I asked from shock.

Damien takes a deep breath and nods his head, "I feel bad that I've met her first before her own grandchild. But Hael wanted me to keep it a secret from you. He didn't want others to find out you were related to him and to his family, which basically is your family as well. Because as you may also know, you being a McCartney was very problematic and dangerous before," Damien says with a sad expression.

I nod my head as an understanding. Squeezing his hand to silently tell him that it's okay, and he shouldn't feel bad about it.

Damien obviously isn't at fault here because he did what he had to do to protect me. If there was someone to blame, it should have been me. I had so many opportunities to look for my past, or for any other family members that I had left, but I didn't. Instead, I wasted my life with work, forgetting how to actually live my life with others.

I waited for Damien for five years, not caring that my real family – the people who I have the same blood with – is actually waiting for me too.

"You're right, being a McCartney is hard. But my uncle and my father wore that surname with pride. I don't know how to thank you enough for bringing me here," I honestly say, and finally, Damien smiles.

"Your uncle would have wanted you to, and so does your father," Damien says back.

I smiled and both of us continued walking again.

"Hael said you were born here, but you were very sickly. So your parents decided to bring you to the big city so you could get better treatments. And apparently you never went back here after that," Damien suddenly tells me.
