Addi's POV-

I stayed up until about 3AM unpacking and organizing my room. I didn't want to do it today so I finished yesterday. Surprisingly, I woke up around 10. I wanted to explore the area a bit so I decided to get dressed and everything right away. I put on a crop top that has the Starbucks logo on the front with a pair of light-washed Hollister jean shorts. I went into my bathroom, which thankfully was connected to my room now, and braided my light brown hair that wasn't too thick, but wasn't too thin either. I only put on mascara and eyeliner today since I was going outside. After I finished in the bathroom I slipped on my black vans, grabbed my Penny Board and ran downstairs. When I walked into the kitchen, my mom was drinking coffee at the table, on her phone.
"Good morning! What are you doing up this early?" My mom asked. I sat down at the table and started playing with the place mats.
"I was wondering if I could ride around the neighborhood for a little bit, to ya know get a feel for what's here and things like that? I'll be super careful I promise!"
"Um, well I guess that's okay bu-" I cut her off before she could say anything else.
"Okay thanks! I have my phone, love you!" I said as I started walking towards the door.
"No bow today?" My mom noticed when my back was facing her. I ALWAYS have a bow in my hair. They're my obsession. I've been wearing them since fifth grade so I have a big collection too. I felt the end of my braid and gave my moms a thumbs up.
"Thanks." I ran upstairs, grabbed a black bow and ran outside.
I was already riding for about 5 minutes when I realized I should've brought my sunglasses.
The houses here were bigger than the ones in my old neighborhood, and I liked it. Everything was so peaceful, there was nobody outside, you could hear the birds chirping, everything was just so perfect. It seemed like I was in a movie. My phone went off so I took it out of my pocket and checked it. I've been riding my penny for about a year now, so I didn't look up or stop when checking it. The next thing I know I'm falling towards the ground.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! Are you okay? Here, let me help you up." A guy, who I'm assuming I ran into, asked. He offered me his hand and I took it.
"Thanks, and I'm sorry, it was my fault haha." I looked up at his face into his eyes. They were a deep brown, and they were gorgeous. He smiled and laughed. His smile was magical. I didn't even realize that he was sticking his hand out in front of me. How long had that been there, I thought. I reached out and shook it.
"I'm Justin, but people call me Jc. And you are?"
"I'm Addilyn, but you can call me Addi."
"That's such a pretty name. It suits a pretty girl like you." I could feel my cheeks getting red. "Are you new to the area? I've never see you riding."
"Um yeah. Actually, I just moved here from Ohio. I decided to ride around and see what it's like..."
"Oh, cool." Jc looks down at his hand and gets a look on his face like he's had the idea of a century. "I almost forgot, here's your phone. It kinda flew out of your hand."
"Thanks, again." I looked at it and noticed a cracked at the top of the screen. "Shoot."
"Did it crack?" Jc asked.
"Yeah, it's fine though." He starts laughing all of a sudden, which makes me laugh.
"What? Why are you laughing?" I asked.
"No reason. You just seem to chill about everything. Like you don't give a care in the world." Yeah, that's not true at all...
I looked at my feet and laughed a little more, my face getting red.
"Can I have your number?" He asked me.
"What?"
"Oh, sorry. That was weird, I shouldn't of asked." Jc looked embarrassed.
"No, no, it's fine. Why don't you put your number in my phone and I'll text you."
"Ok, sounds good!" After he gave me my phone back we said goodbye, and I started to head back to my house.
