Chapter 11

Katherine's (Addis mom) POV-

I made some snacks for Jc and Addi since it was only about 9, figuring they were awake. I was wrong. I went upstairs and knocked on Addis door. Nobody answered, so I decided to walk in.

"Hey guys I brought you som-" I stopped in my tracks and saw Addi and Jc sound asleep on her bed. Addi was curled up against Jc and had her head and arm on his chest, while Jc had his arms wrapped around her and his head on top of hers. I set the tray on her dresser, and took a picture of the two with my phone. I stood there for a minute just looking at them and thinking. He really loves her. She really loves him. It brought tears to my eyes thinking about how happy Addi's been over the past few weeks, having Jc in her life.

"Mommy what are you doing?" Chloe asked, standing in the doorway of Addi's room, making me jump.

"Shhh, they're sleeping. Come here honey." She came over to me and I pointed to them.

"Addi is gonna have to take a shower when she wakes up to wash off all the boy cooties."

I shook my head and rustled her hair. "If only you would think that forever, baby girl."

"I will. Boys are nasty! Can I have ice cream?"

"No honey, it's almost your bedtime. Let's leave them alone so they don't wake up." We left Addi's room and I tucked Chloe in.

Before I went to bed I wanted to check on Jc and Addi. I went upstairs and saw they were still sleeping. I didn't want to wake them up, but I didn't know if Jc wanted to spend the night or not.

I walked to the bed and shook Jc's shoulder.

"Jc honey, wake up." He moved his arms and sat up, rubbing his eyes.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. We fell asleep durning the movie. What time is it?" He said in a panic-whisper voice.

"Its fine sweetie. It's almost midnight. You're more than welcome to spend the night, I just didn't know if you had any reason you needed to he home tonight."

"Wow, I didn't think it was that late. I'll get going."

"Are you sure? It's dark out and there might be drunk drivers at this hour. You're more than welcome to spend the night."

"Are you sure it's all right? I mean, I only live 5 minutes away, tops."

"I'm positive. Are you good sleeping here? We have a guest room also."

Addi started shifting positions and turned to her back with her eyes open.

"What's going on?" She asked, yawning.

"Nothing babe. Go back to sleep." Jc told her, soothingly. Addi nodded and turned back to how she was before. He was so sweet. "I'll just stay here. Thanks."

"No problem. Goodnight." I walked out of the room, having no doubt that Jc would be around for a while.

Jc's POV-

When Katherine shut the door I grabbed a blanket from the end of Addi's bed and covered her up with it. I gave her a peck on the lips, thinking she was asleep.

"I love you." She said after I kissed her.

"You were awake this whole time you little poop."

"I guess you don't love me then?"

"Nope not at all."

"Not even a little?"

"Not even the size of an ant."
