I got up and went downstairs to the kitchen. I put two waffles in the toaster and checked twitter. Nothing interesting. After I ate my waffles I went upstairs. I watched an episode of The Walking Dead on Netflix then started to actually get ready.
I got in the shower then blow dried my hair. I brushed my teeth and hair and put on deodorant. A few minutes after I started curling my hair, the doorbell rang. I jumped off of my bathroom counter, which I always sit on in the morning, and ran downstairs to see who it was. Surprisingly, it was Jc.
"Jc!" I exclaimed and ran to give him a big hug.
"Addi! Hey, sorry I'm early."
"Yeah, like an hour early, but no biggie. You can just come in and watch me get ready." I released from the hug and we went inside.
"Okay thanks." He took off his Vans by the front door and followed me upstairs.
"You can sit on my bed or the floor or anywhere you want really. I'll just be in my bathroom so." I said as we walked in my room. He sat on the floor and leaned against my bed. I went back into the bathroom and started curling my hair again.
"Jc come in here, it's lonely."
"There's nowhere to sit."
"Just sit on the toilet."
"Fineeee." He said as he got up and walked into my bathroom. "Dear god, your bathroom is THIS messy and you haven't even been here a month!"
"Yeah... Sorry about that!" I unplugged my curling iron and put it in the drawer in my sink with the rest of my hair tools. I lightly combed through my curls to get them looser then got out my makeup.
"Why do you put that stuff on?" Jc asked.
"Because it makes me pretty."
"You're pretty just the way you are."
"And that's why I love you," I said and leaned down to kiss him.
"I should start saying things like that more often!" Jc said after I kissed him.
"Shut up, dork." When I was done with my makeup I went into my room and struggled with deciding what to wear.
"Jc come help me with my outfit!"
"Ugh."
"Should I wear my American Eagle shorts with this shirt or my Forever 21 dress?"
"Dress"
"Okay, now go in the bathroom so I can change." He went into the bathroom and I changed. "You can come out!" My dress was a white color with a cream floral print. I wasn't sure what we would be doing so I put on a pair of white spandex under my dress. Jc came out and lied on my bed. I needed a bow to complete my outfit so I opened my nightstand drawer full of them.
"Jesus, how many bows do you have?!" Jc asked in astonishment.
"Well when you've worn one everyday since fifth grade they kinda add up." I twisted a piece of my hair back and secured it with a pink lace bow. I slipped on my pink Vans and sprayed Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift on.
"Does this look alright?" I asked Jc.
He stood up and said, "You look amazing." He wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped mine around his neck while leaning my head on his chest. I lifted my head up off his chest and he gave me a quick kiss on the lips.
"C'mon, it's 1:07." I said noticing
the time.
"Okay, let's go."
Jc opened the passenger side door for me like a gentlemen.
"Thank you," I told him and he shut it when I got in. "So how far do you live from here?"
"About 5 minutes."
"Oh okay." I turned the radio on and some rap song played. I think it was Fancy, by Iggy Azalea, but i wasn't sure. All rap songs sound the same. "How do you listen to this crap. It's not even music!" I said as I changed the station to the country one.
"I don't like it that much either, to be honest." Jc informed me.
"Oh I love this song." I mumbled and turned it up. Luke Bryan's Crash My Party was playing. Much better. I started singing, not paying attention to anything, or anyone, else.
"Go ahead and call me, call me, call me, you don't have to worry about it baby, you can wake me up in the dead of the night, wreck my plans baby that's alright. This is a drop everything kind of thing, swing on by and I'll poor you a drink. The doors unlocked I'll leave on the lights, baby you can crash my party anytime. Yeah baby you can crash my party anytime." I sang. It wasn't until the song was over that I realized that Jc turned the radio down and was just listening to me sing. I gave him a death stare and he said,
"What? I just wanted to hear you sing? And it was worth it. I didn't know you were THAT good!"
"I'm not THAT good. And I'm mad at you now." I turned the radio up and It Goes Like This by Thomas Rhett was on. I loved this song but I was mad at Jc so I wasn't going to sing. I started mouthing the words.
"I've heard you sing now, so you might as well sing to this song too if you know it." Jc pointed out. I ignored him for a few seconds then started to quietly sing along. My voice gradually got louder throughout the song.
Soon after the song was over we pulled into the driveway to,I'm guessing, Jcs house.
"We're here! I don't think Andrea and Jenn are here yet, and Sam and Trevor couldn't make it so for now it's just us 5." Jc said.
"That's fine. Are you sure they'll like me?" I asked.
"Addi, they're my best friends not my parents. I'm positive they'll like you."
"Okay, I trust you." I think he could tell I was still nervous so he grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
"I promise, you'll be fine babe." I nodded and we got out of the car. I walked to Jc and he held my hand again. "Just be yourself. They're nice guys and I think the girls and you will get along just fine too." I nodded again. We walked to the door and opened it, with a surprise inside...
