Chapter 3

Jcs POV-

She was so beautiful. Her silky brown hair that fell to her mid-back. Her stunning green eyes. Her laugh was so cute, and on top of that, she had an amazing smile. I didn't believe in love at first sight, until I met Addi...

Addis POV-

*eating dinner with family*

I brought my phone to the dinner table secretly because Jc and I have been texting back and forth for a good 2 hours. I didn't want to end the conversation now.

"You seem in good mood Addi. How was your ride?" My moms question didn't even phase me. I was too busy texting Jc. "Addi..." My mom repeated.

"Yeah?" I snapped up with.

"I asked you how your ride was, you seem like you're in a good mood."

"Oh, it was good. The weather is really nice." I didn't want to tell her about Jc quite yet.

"Mommy can we go to the park after dinner since it's nice outside please?" Chloe pleaded.

"I can take her mom, since I know you still have unpacking to do."

"Really? Are you sure Addi?" My mom seemed surprised at my action.

"Yeah, it's not a big deal."

"I guess that's alright then. Chloe go get your shoes on. I'll clean up dinner so you girls can go. Get back before dark!"

"I have my phone mom, love you." I said while running to get a pair of Vans. I put my black ones on again and went Chloe's room to get her.

"Hey, you ready?"

"Yeah!"

We walked downstairs and went out the door.

About halfway there Chloe started complaining about her feet hurting.

"Sissy my feet hurt," Chloe complained.

"It's not even that far away from home, Chlo! Do you want me to give you a piggy back ride?"

"YES!!!" I crouched down and Chloe jumped on my back. When we were almost there, I saw a familiar face penny boarding towards us. I soon realized it was Jc. He came over to us with a grin on his face.

"Hey Addi! Funny seeing you again. Haha." Jc said.

"Hey!" I said while setting my sister down. "Jc, this is my little sister, Chloe. Chloe, this is my friend, Jc." Jc crouched down and gave Chloe a high five.

Of course, my sister being who she is, she had to make it extremely awkward by asking, "Are you Addi's boyfriend?"

Jc looked at me, and I looked at him apologetically.

"Um, sadly, no. But any guy to get a girlfriend as beautiful as your sister, is the luckiest man alive." I could feel myself blush.

"Well, we're heading to the park. Wanna come?" I asked Jc.

"Sure!"

"Addi pick me up again!" Chloe begged.

"No honey my arms are tired. Plus the park is right there," I said, gesturing to the park.

"You're no fun. Will you carry me?" Chloe asked Jc.

He chuckled and said, "Of course."

She got on his back and Jc asked me to hold his penny board. I said yes and picked it up from the ground.

"Remember stay in the mulched area and if strangers try to talk to you come over to me and don't respond, I'd like to go home with a little kid again. Now go have fun." I instructed when we got to the park. Jc and I just sat in silence for a few minutes until he finally spoke up.

"So... Tell me about yourself, Addilyn."

"It's Addi."

"But I like Addilyn!"

"But I don't!"

"Addilyn is such a beautiful name though."

"Thanks, but Addi fits me better."

"Fine. Tell me about yourself, Addi."

"Well, I just moved here from Ohio 2 days ago. My parents split up 2 years ago. I'm 18, almost 19, obviously I have a little sister and we're really close. She's 6. I love to Penny Board, I did gymnastics for 13 years and stopped when I was 16. That was the only thing I was really good at so that's why I kept with it for so long. I drink AriZona tea almost everyday, my favorite restaurant is Panera. Um... I take videos, like tags and vlogs, that a normal person would post on YouTube but I don't. I just enjoy making them. It probably sounds stupid but oh well. So that's me."

"Wow, we have a lot in common. I actually have 3 YouTube channels. My own, a collab channel and a vlog channel. I live with 3 of the guys In my collab but the 2 others don't live with us."

"Oh that's really cool! So how many sub- Chloe, stop! Sorry, my sister does gymnastics but she isn't exactly... The best at it," I shouted at Chloe when I noticed her doing cartwheels. "My mom doesn't want her tumbling alone so you can come over here with me if you want."

"Look I can do my cartwheel!" Chloe exclaimed. She did it but her legs were still a little bent at the knees.

"Good job! Keep working on straightening your legs though." I encouraged.

"Can you maybe do some tricks?" Jc asked.

"Sure. What do you want me to do?"

"Well I only know what a cartwheel and handstand are so..."

"Haha okay. Chloe what should I do?"

"Roundoff, back handspring, back tuck!" Those were her favorite tricks of mine. I nodded,took off my vans and gave my phone to Jc to hold.

"I haven't done this in about 2 years so sorry if I screw up." I told Jc. I stood up straight, and started running. I did my round off, then back handspring which I thought was a little sloppy, and then my back tuck. I walked back over to Jc and Chloe and took out my braid. My hair was a mess. I laughed at Jc, who's mouth was wide open and his had bug eyes.

"Wow..." He finally managed.

"My back handspring was a little sloppy, sorry."

"No it was amazing! I can't believe you can do that!" I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my phone from Jc.

"Thanks. We should get going, moms gonna kill us if we aren't home before dark," I said.

"Alright, will I see you tomorrow?" Jc eagerly asked.

"We'll see," I winked at him. "Say bye Chloe."

"Bye Jc!"

"Bye Chloe! Nice meeting you!"

And with that, he was already riding in the direction he came from.
