Addis POV-
My boss decided to be generous today and give me a day off, so I'm currently waiting for Nicole to come pick me up so we can go to the mall. I saw her car pull into my driveway so I walked outside and opened the passenger door.
"Hey!" She said to me.
"Hey! I'm so excited, I haven't been shopping in a while."
"Me either. We need to go everywhere."
"For sure."
First we went into Forever 21. They were having tons of sales so I got tons of stuff. We shopped for about another two hours then decided to go into one last store. Nicole wanted to go into TopShop badly so we went there. I'd never been there before today, and let me tell you, that won't be my last time. They have so many clothes that I love.
I held up a crop top in front of me and asked Nicole if it would look good on me. She looked up, started to say something, then her eyes went wide and she froze.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"No...no..." She mumbled and shook her head. I started to turn around to look where her eyes were locked but she quickly grabbed my arm, pulling me in the other direction.
"Nicole, what the hell?" I asked, pulling out of her grasp again. Then I saw it. I'm pretty sure all the color drained from my face. I was too shocked and heartbroken to cry, or even move.
Nicole's POV-
I couldn't believe what I saw. I tried to get Addi away from the area but she resisted me. Jc's arms wrapped around another girl. I wonder if she knew about Addi. Well, how could you not? They're all over each other's social media accounts. She stopped in her tracks and her face turned white as a ghost.
"Addi c'mon, let's go." I tried pulling her arm but she wouldn't budge. "Let's go somewhere else baby girl." I said, now with her letting me pull her out of the store. As soon as we got outside of the doors she broke down into tears. I moved her to the side and pulled her into a hug with her face leaning on my shoulder. "Maybe it's just a misconception? Did you know who that girl was?" Addi nodded. "See, maybe he's just being friendly." I said trying to sound cheerful, although I knew that wasn't the case.
After about 5 minutes of Addi crying into my shoulder, Jc and the girl walked out of the store, hand in hand. He turned his head and saw us. His facial expression showed regret and sympathy, but I didn't buy it. Anyone who has the nerve to break my best friends heart, obviously didn't know me well. I stuck up my middle finger, trying not to move so Addi didn't notice.
