CHAPTER 16:

Addis POV-

*3 weeks later*

"I will see you again, woah-oh-oh-oh-a

This is not where it ends

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh" I sang. See You Again is one of my favorite songs right now. My cover was interrupted by a knock on my door. I sighed.

"Come in!" I said annoyed.

"Sorry, I didn't know you were filming one of your pointless videos." My mom said when she saw my camera. That's what everyone called mine and Mila's videos so it didn't offend me.

"It's fine, what's up?"

"I'm not sure how to say this honey, but you know that your dad and I split up 2 years ago, right?"

"Yes...?"

"And you know that people move on in their lives, Right?" I was getting annoyed with her questions.

"Yes mom get to the point already."

"Well, there's this guy coming over for dinner tonight. His name is Michael and he happens to be my boyfriend..." I knew this was eventually going to happen but not so soon. We just moved and she brings another man into mine and Chloe's life.

"That's...Great. I'm happy for you." I said faking a smile.

"Are you sure? I haven't told Chloe yet."

"If you're happy, I'm happy." I said. My mom gave me a hug and went into Chloe's room. I laid down on my bed and sighed. Soon after my mom left Chloe came into my room and I could tell she was excited.

"Mommy has a new boyfriend!!" She exclaimed.

"I know she does!!" I responded.

"Do you think he's nice?"

"I'm sure mom wouldn't bring him around us if he wasn't."

"Okay!" Chloe then left and I started to get ready. I put on a simple gray flowy tank top that was short in the front and a little longer in the back and some high wasted jean shorts so you couldn't see my stomach. I left my hair naturally wavy down and twisted a piece of hair back for my bow. I chose a yellow one to lighten up my outfit. I went downstairs and sat down at the island where my mom was cooking.

"Is this okay?" I asked, referring to my outfit.

"Yeah, it looks cute. Michael should be here soon." I nodded and noticed Jc had texted me 15 minutes ago. I responded and continued the conversation.

*text messages*

Jc- hey babe:)

Addi- hey:)

Jc- what r u doing?

Addi- waiting for my moms boyfriend to come over for dinner:/

Jc- oh sorry

Addi- it's fine lol

Jc- so you can't do anything tonight then

Addi- no sorry baby

Jc- it's okay

Addi- :)

*end of messages*

He didn't respond to my smiley face and I immediately felt bad for not being able to do anything. I heard the doorbell ring and Chloe ran to it from upstairs.
