Hey guys! Another chapter! This time, as per request, Ed and Double D are going to share their thoughts... per say... I'm sorry I havent put out a chapter in a bit. I was helping my stepdad move. So yeah. I hope you enjoy this one! I didn't really know how exactly to portray Double D, with all of his smart words and such... Or Ed with.... yeah.... So uh, there will be more T&S in this chapter. Because why the hell not. God, I freaking love those characters of mine.... Anywhore (I actually meant for that to be said) :) Alright! On with the story!

Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Ed Edd n Eddy!!!!

============================================

~Double D's POV~

As we left Eddy's home, I began to feel a bit worried about our small group of friends. It apears Eddy has some demons, and I fear he is taking his anger at everyone for what they did out on us. I saw a grey car parked in front of the house and I began to wonder. No one in Eddy's family owns that kind of car... I think... I bid the others farewell and began to walk to my home. I heard Ed follow me. We went into my house and I showed Ed to the kitchen. When Eddy was gone, I always made Ed some buttered toast to make him feel better. Ed, knowing the system by now, automatically made himself some toast and put a ridiculously unhealthy ammount of butter on it. I went into my livingroom and put in one of the hundreds of horror movies Ed has brought over to my house. I actually grew to tolerate horror movies over time, suprisingly.

I sat on one end of the couch and took out my book. I had long since finnished my "And Then There Were None" book and I had picked up on one of the books that Eddy left me to read a few years prior. Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Being a major fan of greek and roman mythology, I began to read the books as per Eddy's request. He had owned the entire two series, from The Lightning Theif  to The House of Hades. I remember when he told me to read them.

~Flashback~

(5 years ago, the week before Eddy found out he was moving)

I was reading my book (big suprise) and sitting on the couch when Eddy burst through my front door with an armfull of books. He spotted me and ran towards the couch at an alarming rate. I dropped my book and covered my face. Miraculously, Eddy stopped just before crashing into me. "Sockhead! You like reading about greek and roman junk, right?" He asked, practically jumping from excitment. "It's called greek and roman mythology Eddy. And yes, i'm familiar with it." I stated as I bent to pick up my book that lay abandoned on the ground. Eddy set his stack down in a hurry and grabbed my Harry Potter book from my hands. I gasped. "You wont need this after I tell you about these." He said as he gestured wildly to the stack. He threw The Deathly Hollows behind him carelessly and looked back at me. I gasped again, and this time ran to retrieve my book. Thankfully, I had read it multiple times and was not too horribly concerned about losing my page. I turned and looked at Eddy with a frown on my face.

"Eddy! I was reading that! I do not appriciate how awful you treat my books!" I turned and put my hands on my hips. Behind me, Eddy was mimicking my words. "These books are for learning literature, and you treat them like the dirt you walk upon. Books are a beautiful instrument used for learning, for what. You to just throw nthem to the side?" I turned back around and Eddy stopped mouthing words. "Yeah yeah, learning, literature and whatever. Listen, sockhead. I want you to read these books. They are really good!" I swighed in disapointment. It seemed he would never learn... "Well, Eddy, if you get this excited about these-" I gestured to the stack of books that was dangerously teetering from side to side. "Then they must be worth reading." He nodded enthusiastically. "They are! I love these books!" I shrugged. "Alright. I suppose I could give them a chance. I should finnish them in about a week or so. I shall give them back then." Eddy shook his head. "No, sockhead. I want you to keep them. Look, my parents are fighting a lot more than usual latley. And, I have this feeling in my gut that it's not going to get better. That and mom has been going on a lot more "Buissness Trips" latley. And then, my dads health is getting worse. In case something happens, I want you to have them. Alright?" He said as he wrung his hands togehter worridly. I put a hand on his shoulder in comfort. "No problem." He smiled and he began to blabber more about the books. But as we continued to talk about the books, I felt the same tugging in my gut, which im guessing is what Eddy felt. And, no matter how much I tried, I couldn't shake it off. Something was about to happen. And it was about to change us. All of us. Forever..............

~Flashback End~

I smiled. Although, he was right, I suppose. Things never did get better for his parents, and his father really did get worse. That poor fellow. He had been diagnosed with memory loss. Both short term and long term. Poor, pitiful man doesn't even remember when Eddy was born. And he forgets everything. And i'm sure drinking doesn't help him at all. I feel bad for him. Truly. I do.

After Eddy had moved, I found that day to be mocking. Both of us knew something was going to happen, yet we did nothing to stop it. But, he came back, so I suppose it doesn't matter. 3 years after Eddy had moved, I had honestly forgotten about the books. So they were left in a box in my closet. And, after Rick Riordan had announced he was making a new book to the series, it was the talk of the town. And byt then, Eddy had moved back. "I should really invite him to go to the bookstore with me to get the book... If he wants to speak to us again..." I muttered to myself.

All of the sudden, Ed came in with a plate of buttered toast. He sat down and started eating it. "Double D why does Eddy have people by his window?" I did a double take. "My apologies, Ed, but what did you say?" I turned toward him, giving him my full atention. "Eddy. He has a lady and a guy by his window talking." As he was saying this, I remembered that since I was neighbors with Eddy, I could see his backyard from the kitchen. And the backyard, meant Eddy's room. Since the door and windows were there after all. I stood and ushered Ed to the couch and went to the kitchen in a panic. I looked out of the window and saw  Eddy climbing in his window being followed by a girl and a boy. But, who were they? And why were they here? I went back into the living room and went to Ed, who had devored his toast. "Come along, Ed. We're going on a field trip." I said. He jumped up. "Yaaaay!! I like field trips Double D!" "Of course ou do Ed, now come on. Lets go." We walked out of the house and began to walk next door.

=================================================================

Hey! Short chapter, I know. But I just did this today. I personally am pretty proud of how it turned out in such a short ammount of time. But, whateves. That's just me. Anywhore, I need to go and, you know, actually get some work done. Oh, next chapter. Ed and Double D go and they get to meet Talen and Skye! What will happen? Will they become instant friends? Or will they slowly grow to hate each other because both groups have grown to like Eddy... And, for all that we know... They could go psycho... I mean, I DID say they were here to fuck some shit up. That shit could be our two loveable goons :3

Either way, I hope you liked this chapter. I'll try not to be a lazy ass about my updating... ^~^

That, and I have distractions......... I've been reading "Love Like A Delinquent" by 3mmaRawrs. It's worth checking out.
