(Normal POV)
Eddy rushed into the classroom and flew to his seat. He almost crashed into someone on his way there to set his books down. He slammed them on the table and scrambled to his friends desk. They all had the same class this hour. It was History. He got to his friends desks and was jumping in excitement.
"Guys! Guess what?!" He was bouncing from foot to foot in excitement. "Eddy, are you alright?" Double D asked in concern. It wasn't normal for him to be so excited over something. He had an abnormally large grin on his face. "No I'm not alright sockhead! I turn 17 in 5 days!!" He sighed dreamily. "Just picture it. In one short year, I can legally get a tattoo, I can buy lottery tickets, I can go gambling at that casino in lemonbrook, you only have to be 18 for that one. It's gonna be so epic! All I have to do is wait a year!!"
Double D paled. He thought his birthday was next week! Oh no... It's a good thing that he already had his present... "O-oh! Yes! Indeed you can! It must be so exciting!" Nazz shot him a side glance at how shaky his voice sounded. Eddy didn't seem phased. "I'm so excited I don't even know what to do with myself right now!!" He was waving his arms around when he talked, which made Kevin laugh. Eddy raised and eyebrow. "What's so funny shovelchin?" He crossed his arms. "You're talking with your arms." Kevin told him. "Oh..." Eddys anger deflated. The bell rang and Eddy went back to his seat.
He couldn't sit still. His leg was bouncing up and down and he was tapping his fingers his legs underneath the desk. The teacher noticed this, an asked him what was wrong. "Uh nothing Mr. Parks. I'm just excited!" Mr. Parks didn't look pleased. "And why is that?" Eddy looked around the room and the snickering people. "Um my birthday is on Friday." He stopped bouncing around in his seat and looked up at the teacher. Mr. Parks frowned.
"I will let you off with a warning, since you do exceptionally well in this class. Don't let it happen again." Mr. Parks turned and walked away and continued to talk. Eddy went back to his notes and continued to think about the days to come.
===After School===
Sarah, Nazz, Jimmy, Skye, Kevin, and Rolf were at the mall. They were all tag-teaming to find Eddy a birthday present. Nazz and Sarah walked into a store and the boys followed. They looked around for a while until Kevin picked up a CD. It was A Day To Remember's album 'Homesick'. "Didn't he say he was looking for this one?" Skye looked at him. "Yeah, that's a good gift. He said he couldn't find it and he's been looking for, like, a year." Kevin smirked and walked to the checkout counter. He paid for the CD and waited for the rest of the group.
When they couldn't find anything, they moved on to a different store. Hot Topic, to be exact. Sarah and Jimmy went over to the bin where buttons were. They picked out 6 and a ring. They paid for their items and went to wait with Kevin, who was standing by the front door. Nazz sighed. She was never going to find anything! She barley knew anything about him! Maybe she should ask Skye... She looked over at Skye and saw she was looking through a rack of jeans looking bored. Ookay maybe not...
They moved into a different store and Kevin, Sarah, and Jimmy chose to wait by the door. Skye looked around at the signs saying where everything was an made a beeline for a certain aisle. Nazz followed her as sneaky as she could. She turned in the aisle behind Skye to make it look like she was doing something else. Nazz took a box off the shelf and she had a perfect view of what Skye was doing. She was reading the back of a small rectangular box. She sighed and up it back on the shelf and moved down the line.
Nazz silently moved around the shelf as Skye moved to the next aisle. She picked up the box that Skye put down. It was a box of charcoal pencils. She flipped the box over to see what Skye was reading. She sighed when she saw it was just examples of what you could use them for. An idea clicked in Nazz's head as she began to look for more art things that Eddy might need. Unbeknownst to her, Skye was standing in the aisle behind her, looking out the small peephole that Nazz had made. She smirked and walked around the aisle. Nazz still had her back turned so she snuck up behind her, staying a few steps back.
Skye cleared her throat and Nazz spun around, practically jumping out of her skin. "S-Skye! H-hey! You s-scared me! I was just... Uh...-" Skye smirked. "Spying on me? Seeing what I was going to buy Eddy for his birthday so you could get an idea?" Nazz deflated. "Maybe..." Skye gave a hearty laugh as she grabbed the charcoal pencils on the shelf. "Here. I'll find something else." Nazz smiled gratefully and skipped to the register to pay. Skye shook her head slowly and crossed her arms over her chest.
