CHAPTER 21

(Eddys POV)

We walked into the amusement park and I was already dying of excitement. I've wanted to go here since I was a kid. Nazz and Skye were laughing together at how I was acting. Skye was telling a story of the last time I was acting like this. I ended up humiliating myself in front of a bunch of people, but hey, it was to impress someone. Gotta act like an idiot when money and girls comes into play... The whole group was laughing. "And then he climbed on top of his car and just started screaming 'nananananananana Batman!' And he jumped into the pool!" They all interrupted into laughter. "Thank god he was Ok, but it was so funny!!" Skye laughed the hardest. I rolled my eyes. I was never gonna live that down...

I looked around and looked at the roller coasters I had wanted to go on. I turned to the group. "Alright, which ones are we gonna do first?" Kevin stepped forward and pointed to a dull yellow roller coaster. "I think we should ride that one!" Skye took the map from me and looked for it. "What's it called?" She looked at him. Kevin barely held in his laughter. "It's called Batman!" Everyone erupted in laughter again and I rolled my eyes. "Oh hahaha very funny." I crossed my arms. Nazz walked up to me. "Hey man, chill out. We're only kidding." I simply looked at the coaster. Lets just get this torment out of the way... We went to the hate of the ride and got in line.

When we got to the front of the line, we saw a cart with 9 rows which each seated four. We each lined up appropriately so we could get on the same train. Skye, Nazz, Kevin, and Rolf would be on the second car. Sockhead, Lumpy, and I would be in the third car. Sarah and Jimmy were waiting by the exit, as they decided against the ride when they saw there's no floor for your feet to rest on. We would have started at the first one, but the line was a lot longer and it would take forever. When the train with people on it departed, another train soon took its place. That was the one we climbed into. We sat in the seat and pulled the headboard over our heads and connected the buckle from the front of the seat so it would stay closed. Sarah and Jimmy were looking after our things until we were done.

The floor dropped and we were on our way. Sockhead gripped the handrails on the head bar that rested on his shoulders for dear life. Lumpy was looking and waving at the people down below as we go higher and higher. I smiled and tried to lean forward to see the people, only to get stopped by the shoulder bar. I sat back, cursing how I decided to sit in between the two. I look over at Double D, who's looking at the ground in fear. Maybe we should have given him the inside... Luckily for Ed, since he was so tall, he could see the people like he was on the edge, even though he was in one of the middle seats.

The train got to the top of the hill and we made a little drop only to turn on the side and go down making a petty attempt at a corkscrew. The train flipped into a loop and into an actual corkscrew. Ed and I threw our hands up as the train made another loop. We did another few turns and returned to the station. I was laughing by the end of it and I turn to Double D to see him putting his hands down too. I smile and he smiled back. "You had your hands up sockhead? You were terrified at the beginning." He shrugged. "I was simply stretching." I looked at him, unconvinced. He paused sheepishly. "It... I suppose this ride was fun after the drop was over." I laughed. He had fun. No matter how much he tried to deny it. We got off the coaster and went to Jimmy and Sarah. "So? How was it?" Sarah asked. I think she was mainly asking Double D, after seeing how he looked going into the ride. I grinned at his attempt. "He had fun. He even put his hands up." They looked at him shocked. "Thats choice! I never thought you would do that, dude." Kevin said to him. Double D simply just smiled sheepishly.

We moved onto a ride called Raging Bull. The line was about half an hour wait, but eventually we got to the front. We saw they had three trains running, a teal one, a yellow one, an a red one, which was probably why the line went fast. I expected it I be slower. We were on the teal train and we split up, as it also only sat four in a row. I went and sat in the front car while Ed, Kevin, and Rolf joined me. Nazz, Skye, and Double D went into the second row. We pulled down the lap bar as far as it would go. I continuously tapped on the bar. Thank god these are padded, otherwise that would hurt.

The train was sent off and the yellow train took our place. We began going up the hill. "Oh my god this is so much scarier when we're up here... It looks different from the ground!" Nazz cried in a mixture of both excitement and fear from behind us. I laughed. "I know! I can just see the chain! That's so scary!" Kevin called back. When we got to the top of the hill, I saw why they were saying that. "Oh God Nazz is right this is so much scarier when were up here!" I laughed and put my hands up anyway, Kevin, Rolf, and Ed following my example. We went down the hill and I could have sworn I tasted my stomach. We all were screaming as we went down into a tunnel. We rose up and turned so we were directly on our side. It was impossible not to look at the ground. We straitened out and went down another large hill. We made a lot of turns and went down a lot of hills like that until there was a hill with a small break to stop us from going too fast. We went down the hill and were flashed with a camera taking our picture. We did a lot more sharp side turns and we returned to the station. We were all laughing again. The lap bars disappeared and we stood and walked to Sarah and Jimmy. We went and looked at our pictures. My cheeks were pushed back by the G-force an my hands were up. Kevin was smiling widely, another effect of the g-force, and was gripping onto the lap bar. Nazz, Sockhead, and Skye had similar expressions on their face. Rolf and Ed had faces like mine.

Next, we decided to go in a wooden roller coaster called 'Goliath'. It was a wooden roller coaster with a 85 degree first drop straight down and it went upside down three times. A wooden roller coaster. Going upside down. How could I say no? Well, probably the same way Double D did. "No sir! I refuse to go on a ride so utterly petrifying as this one! It's absurd!" Nazz and Skye had the same look. "I gotta agree with them on this one, dude. That ride looks scary..." Nazz said. I sighed. Kevin walked up to us, as he was asking how Lon the wait was. "I don't think we'll be going on it anyway. The wait is an hour an a half to two hours. No matter how choice this ride looks, I don't wanna wait that long." I sighed and nodded.

After about five hours of us riding roller coasters and rides, it was 9:00. And that, unfortunately, was when the park closed. We drove home and stepped out of our cars. Kevin walked up to me and slapped me on the back. "Hope you had a good birthday, man." We all went our separate ways to our own homes. When Skye and I got to my home, I collapsed on my bed without taking off anything besides my shoes. I was exhausted... Skye chuckled and went to her air matress.

All in all, it was a good day...

YAAAY!!! Eddys birthday is complete!! If you don't know it, the amusement park I was referencing was Six Flags Great America. I live in Milwalkee, and my dad got us season passes and we go there a lot. So that was his "birthday party". Hope you enjoyed!!
