Three little boys were sitting in a sandbox. Their parents chatting not far away. One of the little boys was happily building a sand castle. Another was burying a jar with a hand full of bills in it, which seemed to be a jelly jar at one point, in the sand angrily. The last was just simply watching the other two, not having anything else to do. They had been there for at least two hours. The boys had been playing on the swings for quite a while, so they had moved to the sandbox. Their parents' happy chat seemed to turn into an angry quarrel. The boy building the sand castle took away the bucket and began to admire his work. He used his tiny, chubby finger to make the windows and doors of the mini castle. The boy burying the jar scooped the last bit of dirt onto the growing pile and flattened it with his chubby fist. The boy simply watching grabbed a bird's feather off of the ground, walked back to the sandbox, and plucked it into the top of the castle. The boy grinned at his finished masterpiece. He sat back and began to watch the other boy, who was still furiously pounding the sand with his hand. The other two boys watched as he finished burying the old jelly jar full of money.

Just as the boy sat back, the other boy began to question him.

"Why'd you bury your money, Eddy?"

"Safe keeping. When I grow up i'm gonna be a scam artist. Just like my bro. I'm gonna need a start, wont I?" Eddy said. The one who built the castle just laughed dumbly.

"Eddy's brother knows best double d."

"Yes, Ed." Double D said.

As soon as those words left his lips, they could hear the parents of the three boys yelling at each other. Double D's parents marched over and grabbed him by the hand and lifted him out of the sandbox. They began to walk away angrily. The other set of parents came over to the other boys and grabbed them as well. Ed was scooped up into his mothers arms and she began to walk away. Eddy was roughly grabbed by his father. His father was smoking a cigar, and whenever he talked, the smoke blew right in Eddy's face. Eddy began to cough. Eddy's father never put the cigar out. If anything, he talked more to drown out Eddy's coughing. Which made more smoke and caused him to cough more.

"Shut it ya' little brat." His father said. His mother looked at him.

"He's choking on the cigar smoke you dumb ass. Let him walk. His legs ain't broken." His mother said. His father nodded and put Eddy down. Eddy began to walk next to his parents. He gripped his mother's skirt and his father's pants, since he was in between them. They let him hang on for now. When they got home, Eddy's father walked to the fridge, grabbed a can of what appeared to be coca cola, and sat in his chair to watch TV. His mother took his hands off of her skirt and walked to her office in the home. Eddy stood in the living room for a little while, unsure of what to do.

Damien and his friends, who were now freshman, walked into the house. Damien spotted Eddy and smirked evily.

"This is my little brother Eddy." Damien walked up to Eddy. He loomed over the eight-year-old in hight. He grabbed the back of Eddy's shirt and spun him to face his friends.

"Hey, twerp. Who do you want to be when you grow up?" Damien asked.

"I wanna be just like you, bro. You're my hero" The little enthusiastic boy said. Damien laughed, mocking the boy's dream.
