CHAPTER 20

(Normal POV)

Skye yawned and streched from her place on the couch. Her and Eddy had been there all day. She looked at Eddys sleeping form and smiled softly. She took her phone off the charger and went to the bathroom. She looked in the mirror and saw her face was red and puffy for crying so much yesterday. But who could blame her? She walked into the living room and saw Eddy had shifted so his hair hung in his face. Not very much, just enough to cover his forehead.

She went to the TV and knelt down on the ground. She clicked open the glass door where they kept the movies and began removing a stack of DVDs. Behind the DVDs, which were two stacks thick, was her hidden present. She grabbed it and replaced the movies.

Skye walked over to Eddy and placed it on the coffee table next to him. She stood there looking at him for a couple seconds, thinking of how she could thank him... His phone began to ring while it was on the table. He heard it and woke up. He answered it without looking who it was. "Hello?" He said while he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. When the person responded, his eyes shot open and he sat up. "What do you want?" He said harshly. Oh, God, what if it was Talen? Skye thought worriedly.

She listened closely and was relieved when it sounded like a girl. "I don't care if I'm immature! We already had this discussion! I don't want anything to do with you after what happened!" Skye thought for a moment. Who could he be talking to? Maybe...? Nah... They made it pretty clear they didn't want anything to do with her after what happened.... Eddy rubbed his face in frustration. "God, just... I don't know!"

He sat back on the couch. "No! No, that's not what I'm saying! They wouldn't care anyway! That's only you and your gossipy friends!... Yeah, I know he is........ Why does that matter? It's none of your business what happened between them..... No! Ok, why would I do that? Do you really think that low of me?....... Uh, yeah, kinda...." While he was talking to the person he seemed to progressively get angrier.

"No! This has nothing to do with you! I just want you to stay the fuck away from me, my friends, and my family!.... Because you don't have a place there anymore Callie!" Skye froze at the name. That's who called him? Holy shit... "No! Fuck this, fuck you, I'm done! Goodbye!" He hung up the phone and threw it at the couch. Skye picked it up and sat down in its place. "Callie?" Eddy nodded, and began to explain what happened.

"Hello?"

"Hi birthday boy!"

"What do you want?"

"Wow... Aren't you harsh... I just wanted to say happy birthday! I thought you would be mature about this..."

"I don't care if I'm immature! We already had this discussion! I don't want anything to do with you after what happened!"

"Oh, come on Eddy! That was so long ago! Are you ever going to move on or are you going to be stuck on that forever?"

"God, just... I don't know!"

"What are you so afraid of? That this lame people at Peach Creek will find out and do the same thing that happened here?"

"No! No, that's not what I'm saying! They wouldn't so that anyway! That's only you and your gossipy friends!"

"Speaking of friends, Talens back!"

"Yeah, I know he is"

"Do you know what happened? Did him and Skye breakup?"

"Why does that matter? It's none of your business what happened between them."
