Nazz sighed as she tossed her pencil away. This was impossible! How was she supposed to write a stupid poem about stupid nature?! An idea clicked in Nazz's head. She could ask Sarah! She loved poetry! Nazz gathered her belongings and scurried to Sarah's house. She rapped on the door and Ed answered. "Nazz? What are you doing here?" He had gotten a better grip on his surroundings, she had to give him that, but now was not the time. "Hi Ed! Is Sarah home?" He nodded and let her in. "Baby sister! You have a visitor!" Nazz smiled. "I can see Double D's tutoring has paid off, huh Ed?" Ed nodded happily. He walked back to the living room, where he was watching a horror movie marathon.
Sarah came downstairs. "Okay, Jimmy, here's what we gotta do. We gotta- Nazz! Hi! I thought it was Jimmy that came over. Whatcha need?" Nazz took a deep breath. "IneedtowritethispoemforEnglishclassaboutnatureanditsduetomorrowandidonthaveanythingandi-" Sarah held up her hands. "Nazz! Calm down! I can't understand you!"
"I need to write a poem for English class. It has to be about nature and junk. Help?" Nazz said. Sarah shrugged. "I can try." Nazz squealed in excitement. They went upstairs into Sarah's room and got to work.
"So, what do you want you're poem to be about?" Nazz showed her the notes she had scribbled down on what she might want the subject to be about. "You're in good hands Nazz. I wrote my brother a poem like this a month ago and he passed with flying colors." Nazz smiled. "Thank God. Poetry is not my strong point." Sarah shrugged. "We all need a little help sometimes." She began to scribble down lines, occasionally with help from Nazz, and soon enough, they had a poem. "Here. Read it. Does it fit all the requirements?" Nazz read the poem outoud.
A little girl runs with a sketchpad in hand
Through the tall grass and past the weeping willows
Past the curves and beyond the bends of an old beaten path, lay a flower hill with a happier past
Where the birds chirped and the crickets sang of the whispering willows where truth always rang
Dear sweet grandmother, lay down your head,
Close your sleepy eyes as if you were in bed,
Until we meet again,
Let this be the end
Soft music I do hear, as beautiful memories fill the air
A touch as soft as petals, voice like silk I do hear
The weeping willows, they call to me
Beyond the meadows and past the hills
There she stands,
So calm and sure
My dear sweet grandmother,
I know for sure
Dear child, your eyes are sad, your heart is hurting very bad
Tears of anger fill your eyes, but you must come to realize,
The past and the present are only that, the future is what you make of it,
More not for me as a loss and live each day with love and not loss
Dear sweet grandmother, lay down your head,
Close your sleepy eyes, as if you were in bed,
Until we meet again,
Let this be the end.
Nazz's eyes widened in amazement. "Wow Sarah. This is good. Thanks!" Nazz hugged Sarah awkwardly over the shoulder. She grabbed her things and ran home, she had to type this up.
"Yep... That's what I'm here for... Doing other people's homework... Thanks guys..." Sarah dropped her pencil back in her pencil cup and sat back in her chair.
"Sarah! I just saw the prettiest butterfly on my window!" Jimmy exclaimed as he burst through the door. Sarah smiled. No matter when she felt sad, her best friend always cheered her up.

Awww! Look at how cute Jimmy and Sarah are!! Lol, sorry, I had to. But, anyway, that poem was of my own creation (with the aid from my friend Jazz) for my American Lit class. This was just a filler chapter.
Thanks for reading!
