Click. Click. Click. The sound hammered into my ear, three bodies around me and my room broken and me in the middle caught in the moment of fear not knowing what to. There was no way I could ever explain this to someone, and I didn't want it to stay the way it was. My friends were all hurt and it was by my hand, I looked down at Cian and felt like a knife was stabbed right into my heart twisting and churning making the wound wider and more present. I rested my hands on his face and bent my head down so that our foreheads were touching, at that point tears were flowing from my eyes with no sign of stopping.

"Come back to me." I whispered and as a tear fall from my eyes I felt a rush of virtue leave my body making me go limp and cave into him. I didn't have any energy in my body to even lift my finger, so when the door opened all I could do is cry knowing that something was going to happen that I wasn't going to like very much. I heard a gasp of horror come from the door making me grind my teeth together and bunch my hands up feeling some strength begin to build back in my body. I lifted my head to see Aaron in my now rebuilt bed fast asleep with Chloe sprawled next to him with her leg thrown over his.

I was on my carpeted floor, Cian's head in my lap with his left hand wrapped around my waist. His brown curls falling adorably over his face as he breathed in lightly, my eyes were wide in surprise as I looked at my room that was now fully back to normal. By my door stood Beulah in her flowy nightgown and mud masked face with a snarl on her face. She snapped her head at me changing features for a second as a reaction to my own reaction, but she shook her head making her white curls bounce as she recollected herself.

"Why is your peasant friends in your bed while you sit like a lowly pillow to that lost boy?" She asked making me give her my own glare. It had to have come out alot more vicious than I had intended because she flinched letting out a quiet gasp.

"Get out and don't you speak of them like that, this is my house and I gave them the same authority that I possess." I spat as quiet as I could to ensure that I wouldn't wake them.

She huffed and pulled the door harshly to make it slam but I let out a little magic to snuff out the sound making it close silently. I was still in a daze that they were alive and okay, but I sent out a wave of power to feel the room and recognized that they were in stasis. I wasn't even sure what I had to do when someone had fallen into stasis, that caused my mind to stray back to the houses. My stomach then dropped, I might have somehow been able to fix what happened to Cian and they but what if that vision was real. What if the forest was dead and if so was he able to do a number on the gods who lived in the houses. We left them so suddenly and with no warning nor explanation, I had to get back there and see if it was all true and also to get help.

So I lifted Cian up noticing he was a lot heavier than me especially since he was unconscious, and I didn't want to use my magic much since I didn't have much after my episode not too long ago. And I wanted to be sure I had enough juice to open the portal to the houses, I then rested Cian down on the bed which was large enough to hold them all. I was glad that I was rich at that point because it would have been an inconvenience if I wasn't able to accommodate them. I then left the room sneaking past Beulah's room so that I didn't make her aware of my presence, I made my way down the stairs and into the servants quarters in search of Mr. Clifford.

When I got to the servants quarters everything was quiet as if no work had been done for a long time now, granted I haven't been paying attention to the servants for a some time now I was sure they did their jobs efficiently. So I turned corners maneuvering my way past equipment and furniture that were in the corridors until I came across the door that said chief of staff. I knocked on it twice and waited until the door knob turned and I took a step back ready to greet him, but who came out of the room came as a surprise to me. Ash walked out wearing only a sweet pants, his ginger hair was tossed into a messy bun while his stormy grey eyes peered down at me with a bored expression. His dark brown skin glistened with sweat probably from working out, his defined abs out for display since he wasn't wearing a shirt. I didn't care for him though making my eyes snap to hair face a fire lighting up within them.

"What are you doing in Mr Clifford's room?" I spat venom oozing from my words.

He looked at me with his bored expression not leaving his face, "This is now my room, he has been relocate." Not even blinking his eyes he stood there waiting for me to move on or bother him more. The way he acted made my blood boil seeing that I did own this place and he wasn't employed by me especially for the occupation of chief of staff. So with a snarl and a growl in my throat I took a threatening step towards him getting up into his his face, I tried my hardest to keep my factor at bay because though we knew who he was we couldn't let him know we were onto him.

"Listen bud, I don't care what Beulah hired you for but know that I own here and all who dwell within. And I did not give you the title not the power of chief of staff so I suggest you take you unwanted ass out if this room along with your shit and take a hike. Now you will tell me where Cliff is now so I can tell him he has his room back, and you should be gone." I snapped maintaining eye contact so he knew I was serious.

I could see him grind his teeth in annoyance before he pointed me to where they had booted Mr. Clifford off to. He wasn't expecting me to have been so vocal about how disgusted I was of his and Beulah's presence. And I didn't feel guilty about it, they were unwanted and he was probably here to kill me anyways so it was best that I get under his skin. I got to the smaller room and knocked on it to see Mr. Clifford walk out not looking as appealing as he once did. His hair was now scarce with patches of grey covering his head, he had uneven shaved facial hair and heavy bags under his eyes. There was a sparkle in them though when he saw me making a small smile envelope his tired face, he gestured for me to enter so I walked in taking a seat in a wooden dining room chair.

"I know I've been distant but I wasn't given the information that they demoted you though I have rectified the situation." I informed him making him nod his head after me explain a little of Beulah including herself where she was unwanted. He was aware of my parents' relationship with their families so it was not hard for him to understand the situation. "When you are given your room back I would like you to ensure that no one gets into my room no matter what."

I then got a feeling within me as if Azrael was speaking to me, it caused me to look directly into Mr. Clifford's eyes. Then out came me telling him that at certain hours he would check on the others and try to carry down any fevers that may arise. He would also have to hydrate them and do whatever necessary to keep them healthy while I was gone. His eyes lit up orange before it faded, I also told him to forget about the scenario when he had finished seeing about them until the next time. It was a precaution to ensure that no questions would arise and he wouldn't do anything to risk their safety. I then returned to my room to get a feel of the barrier that they had out up earlier to ensure it was strong to protect them.

When I was certain everything was well into place I jumped into a car and turned the key into the ignition. I then drove to the school following Aaron's previous route of parking a little way from the compound, I got to the fence and scaled it jumping into the yard and making my way to the gate for the other realm. When I got their I mimicked what I remembered Eli doing causing it to open and the air to harden. When it broke I was standing in the grassy plains with everyone outside. They were in a circle each levitating about two feet from the ground, they hummed a tune like a shaman each blending into the other in a familiar tune.

My presence caught the attention of the twins making them squeal and alert the others, they all fell to the ground in a tud. They growled or grumbled under their breaths getting up to look at me expecting a greeting or explaination. The feeling of so many pairs of eyes made me uneasy, I was accustomed to eyes being in me but for the sole purpose of judging or hate. But these were curious eyes each with some form of expectancy making me nervous and fidgety. Deciding to just get it all out and spill what had happened I opened my mouth and let the words fall out making them listen intently.

"So I have three factors in stasis in my bedroom with no knowledge on how to help them. The evil angel right at my doorstep ready kill me at any point and a shadow guy who's haunting me in my dreams."
