"We haven't seen such an upsurge from the enemy is a very long time, you have somehow made them rare their heads." Aqeel said leaning against a wall with Ariana and I.
We had separated ourselves from the huge argument that was brewing between everyone else about our plans. I found out that Aqeel and Ariana were the newest recruits right before I entered into the god factor, so because of our immaturity to everything they voted it best we stay out of the planning. We didn't refuse their demand because it was best we not anger them and add to the already thick tension. I was still so worried about the others back in my house, what if something happens and I lose them, I had already checked on the forest and eased my mind of that worry. They were all safe and very much alive, I could only reckon that the shadow knew it would upset me to the point of subconsciously attacking anything around me.
"Is there something that you should tell these superiority junkies to stop them from ripping each other's head off. Maybe something as to why you are the target of all these attacks?" Ariana asked me her eyes full of determination and curiosity.
I thought of it long and hard, maybe I should let them know of this power given to me to awaken the god factor in others. What would that cause though, would it make them lock me away to ensure I don't fall into the wrong hands? What would their final decision be? My mind was now racing with so many questions and concerns but Aqeel rested his hand on my shoulder getting my attention. I looked up to see him smiling at me as if nothing was wrong, it wasn't an ignorant smile but one of comfort. As if to say no matter what you choose I'm right here to help. His simple gesture did calm my mind making me feel more safe, I remembered how my friends looked after I destroyed my room almost killing them. Then I remembered how peaceful but locked away they are in stasis, I needed to do something to help them. So I walked forward and sent a wave of magic out like wind that blew over everyone, it was a mimik to the sigh of relief making them all sit and go limp by its power.
"I need to tell you all something but I need you to be calm," my voice came off soft but when Ariana and Aqeel walked to my sides my confidence grew, "I was given a power that no one else possesses. I can see someone's god factor even when they are mundane or haven't learnt about it. And when I find who they are I can awaken the god factor in them forcing them to be able to use the magic they hold."
I practically spat out so fast that I didn't breathe, I then took on a breath that I hadn't known I was holding. The faces of each person was puzzled but filled with awe, some looked at each other murmuring amongst each other. Then Zade stood up from his seat holding the table for some leverage from the sigh's effect. His face was hard to read but he took his time formulating what to say or ask, when he was sure of himself he rose his head so that his eyes locked with mine.
"How are we to know what you say is truth? And if it is why have you kept it a secret?" I was a bit taken aback by his questions. Surely after all that thinking he would ask the most obvious questions.
"Well if you really want me to prove myself," I said before listening for the buzz of my power to fill my ear. When I opened my eyes again everything was orange but Zade's eyes were bright grey like a storm was taking place in them. When I felt my energy connect to his I sent a wave of magic over the table that slammed into him making his eyes open wide and stumble back from the force. When I fell to my knees from the sudden loss of energy and got help from Ariana and Aqeel I saw Jupiter standing in front of me. Everyone was at a lost for words so I took the time to explain his second question, "And to answer your next question, I wasn't sure who I could trust since I was now learning about it myself."
Eli didn't look too surprised since our first meeting is forced him to transform, but he was startled my guess being he didn't know I could do it outside of the telepathic realm. It wasn't until long that someone stood up and looked me dead in the eye ready to speak me down.
