Healing Touch

As the affliction lingers on
For years now since it begun
Gradually worsening day to day
I continue to seek my Lord for a way
Hoping for His healing touch
But it did not come in a rush
I suffered and cried much
But now I wonder about the fuss
Deep down inside
Was what He touched
Not the physical side
But my ailing heart He brushed
Removing the filth and rust
Gently polished to shine
Bringing beauty from dust
For my life to be in line
