His Responsibility

I am so sorry, Lord Jesus
For what I did to You
Forgive me, Lord Jesus
For taking over from You
I did what You told me to
And thought it was my responsibility
But I wrongly judged so
For it was Your responsibility
You told me to lead
And so I did
But I continued to judge it
When all I was told was to lead
Whether it succeeds
Is not up to me
It will only succeed
When I surrender fully
The instruction was to lead
And it is my responsibility to continue
Allowing You to take the lead
Is all I have to do
I wanted to let go
Because it burdened and saddened me
I thought it was my duty so
It felt heavy upon me
It never was my responsibility
But it was Yours instead
My sole responsibility
Is to follow what You say
