Shawn's POV
I know what scene we're filming.
It's the only one that we haven't done yet.
Of course she left it for last.
Samantha and I are just standing around, waiting for everyone to get set up.
"S And S!" Sandra calls out. "S And S. Why didn't I think of that sooner?" She asks herself as we make our way over to her.
"The scene," she claps her hands together.
"The scene...?," Samantha repeats her.
Sandra looks over at me and she knows I know, so she sighs a little, and then opens her mouth to speak.
"It's the kissing scene."
I watch Samantha's face. It goes from surprise, to realization, to understanding. She gets why this scene exists. That's good. She's a professional. Of course she understands.
"Okay, so this will be just the very end scene as the music starts to fade. So, no singing or anything. Just... the kiss. And if you make it great, then we'll only have to do this once and you can go back to being best buds or whatever. Good good," She scampers out the words and then scampers off.
Samantha doesn't say anything.
I don't say anything.
I've never had to do this with a girl before.
Well, I mean I've kissed a girl before, but not for a music video.
"I'm sorry if I made that weird or I'm making this weird," Samantha says, breaking the silence.
"No, you're fine. It's me too. I've never had to do a kiss scene in any of my music videos before, so this is new," I tell her the truth.
"You haven't?" She asks, kind of surprised.
"Nope," I tell her, popping the "p."
"Good good. Then we'll both be trying something new. At least in the non-conventional way that people normally kiss," she kind of runs on a little. I chuckle lightly. "What?" She asks, turning towards me.
"Nothing. I'm just glad I'm not the only awkward one here about this," I confess.
"Oh," she replies, joining in with my awkward little laugh.
"Okay! Let's get this going, so we can all get ready for the wrap party!" Sandra yells, getting all our attention.
"Ready?" I turn to Samantha, holding out my hand like I've done before all of our scenes. She takes a deep breath and then grabs a hold of my hand.
"Ready."
We walk to where all the cameras are pointed and go and stand by the bridge.
"Shawn, go up against the brick and then Samantha, you can be up against him," Sandra yells at us. I do as I'm told and go and lean up against the brick, my back feeling the cold of it. Samantha follows behind me and steps in front of me.
"Whenever you're ready," Sandra tells us, trying not to force anything.
We both kind of just stare at each other, our faces slowly getting closer. I can't help but keep staring down at her lips, then back up to her eyes.
"Do it," She whispers, staring at me and smiling. I almost hesitate before I realize how much I've already wanted to do this this past weekend. My hands naturally go up and grab either side of her face, pulling her closer. It feels like forever as I pull her to me, but eventually, we both close our eyes and our lips connect.
Fire works.
Electricity coursing through my veins.
Blood pumping through me.
I feel Samantha's arms go to the small of my back and I feel heat rush to the spot she touched.
We move with each other, our bodies synchronizing. Finally, we both can't breath and pull away from the kiss, but not too far; our foreheads are still touching. We're breathing heavy and I can't help the smile that spreads across my whole face.
We move apart from each other and make eye contact. Her eyes are glowing like I've never seen them before, and her cheeks are flushed red. Either from the lack of oxygen or... maybe another reason? I stare at her bright eyes, her rosy cheeks, and her plump, red lips.
Damn it.
This woman.
I knew it.
I knew this was going to happen.
I love her again.
Forget that.
I never stopped loving her.

Samantha's POV
What
Just
Happened
We pull away from each other, just enough to see one another. I look up and watch a smile grow on Shawn's face. I honestly don't even know what my face is doing. I'm... shocked.
That was the most intense kiss I've ever had.
And it was fake.
At least it was supposed to be.
Was it, though?
I got a weird feeling earlier after he chased me across the parking lot, but I shook it off to focus on what was happening. And to get myself back into reality.
But... what it reality?
Is this reality?
I look up at him and I feel myself start to get lost in his eyes.
In his perfect smile.
In his beautifully made lips.
I... I don't even know how to feel.
That was supposed to be fake. That wasn't supposed to feel so real.
So, why did it?
"CUT!" Sandra yells, slicing through the moment between Shawn and I.
I immediately pull away, not knowing quite what to do.
As soon as I do, I feel a cold wash over me where Shawn's hands were. I wait, my head still fuzzy, while Sandra walks over to Shawn and I.
She stops, looks at both of us, and then kind of chuckles lightly to herself.
"I thought that was was too good to be fake," she winks at both of us. I look over at Shawn and see he did the same to me. And when I see his face, it's actually glowing. Like, pure and happy and joyful and smiling in the truest form that I've ever seen him before.
What was that kiss, actually, Shawn? I want to ask him. I want to know what's going through that mind of his, but I know I can't.
I quickly turn back to Sandra, feeling my face go red.
'Stop stop stop!' I yell at my cheeks from the inside.
"Well, we definitely don't need another take, because that was perfect, so you two are free to go get ready for the wrap party," Sandra tells either of us. I nod and smile at her.
"Samantha, congratulations on your first wrap of a video or anything. I'm sure there will be many more to come in the future for you. Some, I hope with Shawn and I," Sandra congratulates me, shaking my hand.
"I'll see you tonight," she says while walking away and waving back at us.
"You wanna head back?" Shawn asks from beside of me. I'm scared of what's going to happen between us, but if I pretend like nothing happened and everything was exactly like it was five minutes ago, then everything will be perfectly fine.
Act like you didn't just feel something.
You're an actress.
You can do this.
I take a deep breathe, turn around towards him, yell, "last one to the car loses!" as I punch his arm and start running towards the car.
I hear a pause of silence before Shawn laughs behind me, and then yells, "you're so dead!" before I hear footsteps running up to try and catch up with me.

Aaliyah's POV
I look up when I hear the hotel door room open, and watch as Samantha walks in. She's totally distracted. She almost gets hit with the door as it closes, because she forgot to move more in the room. I watch as she stumbles in, slides out of her shoes and jumps into her bed. She doesn't say anything, and she just stares up at the ceiling.
I think that's my cue now.
"How's it going Samantha? How'd the last scene go?" I ask, not moving, but making sure to pay extra close attention to her face.
She doesn't respond.
I ask again.
"How'd the last scene go?"
"What? Oh. Hey Aaliyah. How's your morning been?" she asks, dodging my question. Okay okay. I'll have to figure this out some other way.
"Pretty uneventful. I watched 'Finding Dory.' I hadn't seen it before. And I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with my hair. Or, what I want the hairdressers to do with it," I say, going along with her.
"That's cool. Cool." She stops talking, and then all of a sudden, pops up from her bed, sitting up. "What'd you say? The hairdressers?"
This was gonna be fun.
"Yeah. The hairdressers and makeup artists last job is to do the actors and dancers hair and makeup however the person wants it for the wrap party," I explain. I know Samantha is literally going to kill the game tonight.
Hairdressers.
Makeup artists.
And to pull it all together, the dress Shawn got her. I was too excited how tonight was gonna go down, but I think something already happened between them. Why else would she be acting this weird?
"Oh, that's awesome! When are they supposed to be here?" She asks.
"Well, considering you were one of the two stars in the video and you had your own dressing room, you have your two personal people that will come whenever you're ready. You just have to call them up here." I can tell Samantha is both nervous and excited about this new factor that she just found out about.
Wait.
Wait.
Wait.
They filmed the finale scene today, didn't they?
Shawn was talking to me on Thursday that he thought it was gonna be a kiss scene. He was nervous, considering he had never done one with anyone before.
Ding ding ding.
I found out what happened.
So, the reason Samantha is acting all weird is that something happened? But, was it a good something or a bad something? I guess I'll just have to keep my hopes up.
"What do you think I should even do with my hair? I don't really do anything to it that often, so I have no idea," Samantha asks, looking straight at me. The question pulls me out of my trance and I can't help but start smiling as I think about what would kill Shawn the most.
I am his little sister.
Sometimes, it can be good.
And tonight will definitely be one of those times.

Samantha's POV
"Are you sure Aaliyah?" I kind of whine as Annie and Allie start on my hair.
"I'm positive. It's going to look amazing in your hair. Plus, the makeup and dress will tie it all together," Aaliyah assures me. I have to trust her, even though I'm absolutely freaking out. It doesn't help that I know Shawn is right next door, getting ready as well. I look up at Aaliyah and her giddy smile and know she would never steer me wrong.
"This is what you want?" Annie asks, pointing to the picture that Aaliyah pulled up on my phone.
"Yes," I tell her. There's nothing I can do now. I can't go back.
"Then let's start," she tells Annie and they both start moving to where they need to go.
••••••••••
An hour later, I realized I spent the whole time Allie and Annie were fixing me up thinking about Shawn.
Which is not good.
I can't be doing that.
I have to go back to just seeing him as Aaliyah's big brother.

And my old/ new best friend.
"Oh my god! Samantha!!" I hear Aaliyah gasp.
"What? Oh, god. Does it look bad?" I start to worry.
"Are you kidding me? You look amazing!! Now, go put your dress on and make it even better!" She assures me, and then pushes me into the walk in closet to change. I walk in and go over to where the dress is hanging. I pull it off where it's hanging, still on the hanger, and look at it.
It's absolutely amazing. Gorgeous. I don't even know if I should be allowed to wear it.
But, I have no other dress to wear tonight, so here I am. I slide off my shorts and T-shirt I was wearing and nicely slide it up over my legs.
My arms glide perfectly through the arm loops and the zipper is on the side, so I quickly zip it up.
I slide the heels that Aaliyah bought me to match the dress and turn around to walk back out, but stop when I see myself in the full mirror.
I... have never looked like this before. I'm not even sure if it's me, but...
if I ever wore a fancy dress and outfit, this is what I would wear. The dress really does help my eyes pop. This is good. I feel good. I take a quick breath in and open up the closet door to go back into the room.
"Seriously?!" I hear Aaliyah sigh.
"What?" I ask shyly.
"You. Are. Actually slaying," she smiles at me and then walks over to give me a hug.
"You look beautiful, Ms. Simmons," Annie tells me, smiling. Allie nods, agreeing.
"Amazing."
"Thank you," I tell them back.
A knock on the door startles me. Annie walks over and looks through the peep hole.
"It's Shawn," she says. Oh my god. I promised him I would go with him to this. I thought that just meant we would hang out there.
But, I guess it does make sense we would go there together, considering we're right next to each other.
"I'm assuming he's here for you?" Aaliyah asks me, raising an eyebrow.
"I promised him I would go with him to the wrap party," I tell her.
"Then yes, he's here for you," she says. I'm scared that she's mad about him spending time with me, but instead of being mad, she just smiles up at me.
"I'm going with some of the dancers. You're fine. Go have fun," she tells me. He knocks lightly again. "Go!" Aaliyah tells me, giving me one last little push. I walk the two extra steps to the door. Oh god.
I take a deep breath and then swing open the door.
Holy.
He looks amazing.
Handsome, cute, adorable, and hot. How does he do that? His suit, with his curly hair makes him look absolutely gorgeous.
I look up at his face and see he's doing the same thing. His face looks up to me, he sighs and whispers, "wow." I can't help the blush that follows.
__________
