Chapter 7
NASH'S POV:
I woke up to my alarm. AKA my little sister, Skylnn, jumping on me.
"Nash Nash wake up! Lilly's here." She said.
I shot up knocking Sky off my bed.
"Did you say Lilly was here? As in our house?" I asked.
I was nervous. ( Recap: Lilly is Nash's "girlfriend" that likes another guy and they're not really dating or even like each other in that way.) Last time she came over it was for dinner and Hayes ended up spilling milk all over her.
Skylnn nodded her head rapidly up and down.
I jumped out of bed took a shower, got dressed and ran downstairs.
"Nash sweetie Lilly's here." My mom said.
"Oh okay! Hey Lil what's up?" I said.
"Umm Nash we need to talk." She said.
I did a fist pump in my head. This is the day I get her out of my love life. The day I prepose my idea to win over Kay. This'll be good.
We walked outside to this park down the street.
"Ok look Nash, your a great guy but....."
I cut her off. I knew all to well where this was going.
"I know I know and I have a plan! I think we should end it right in front of Kay and whatever the guy you like's name is." I said.
She was a little taken back by my straight froward request but smiled and nodded. "It's a deal."
-------------------------------
It was third period. The one right before lunch and the only class I had with Lilly. We spent that class in the back planning our breakup.
Cameron was going to get Kay to come and Lil was going to get her friend Amy to get Matt who I found out is the guy she likes.
The bell rang and we both sprinted to our friends and told them the plan. After they went off to get Kay and Matt we headed for the school cafeteria.
We both stood in a corner and pretended to be seriously talking.
When we saw both people of interest enter we turned it up a notch.
"Ok how do you not remember someone you've known since second grade, let alone your girlfriends, birthday?" Lilly screamed at me.
"Ok you know that wasn't my fault and this isn't going to work if you can't trust me!" I yelled back.
It took a lot not to smile. I've been wanting to do this for a long time.
I stole a glance at Kay and she was trying not to pay attention but it was obvious she was listening.
"Maybe your right maybe this isn't going to work!" Lil yelled a little quieter.
"If that's what you want then fine!" I said storming out of there.
After I got through the doors I couldn't keep my smile in any longer. It was done! Over! Say goodbye to whatever we thought we had!
I ran/skipped to the Bat cave and I hope Kay will come.
No sooner then five minutes after I came in a heard a faint, "knock knock"
Kay was standing at the door looking at the floor.
"I-I'm sorry about... you know whatever happened. You s-seemed really h-happy." She mumbled.
I ran and picked her up, spun her around, set her back down, and hugged her.
"Are you kidding me? Never been better!" I said.
Confused by my sudden burst of happiness she nervously laughed and hugged back.
"Umm why so happy? I only know one person who was happier than you after a break up." She said.
This instantly made me curious. Whenever I get the chance to find something out about Kay, I take it.
"Who?" I asked.
"Oh never mind. You didn't answer my question." She said.
"Oh. Well whatever you thought we had didn't exist. She likes this other guy and I don't like her and she came to my house to end it but we decided to let it go viral." I said.
"Then why was Cam so excited to get me to watch it? I'm sure Sarah would of easily been able to tell me at dinner tonight." She said.
"Is Sarah your sister?" I asked.
She looked down and didn't look back up but just gave me a half shrug half nod.
Weird.
"Oh because I wanted you to see it that first day but we both completely forgot so I thought I'd do it today." I said.
"Oh. Well I have to go. I'm glad your not upset. See you around." She said as she turned and literally ran down the latter and back to school.
Something's bothering her and its bugging me not knowing what it was. She used to be so open to me and now she barely hangs out with me anymore.
I'll have to have Hayes do some investigating later this week.
What's she hiding?
