Chapter 19
KAY'S POV:
The rest of the day consisted of Nash and I hanging out. We watched movies and played games and to Nash's credit he didn't try to make any sort of move on me and I was happy about that.
It was all good and we were laughing and having a wonderful time until Cameron climbed through the window.
Neither of us were exactly happy with him so it's safe to say it was a little awkward.
"Kay! You're home! I was just coming to see if Nash had left to go after you." He said smiling at me.
I offered a small smile but Nash stood up and walked towards Cameron.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Oh well I was wondering if you hadn't left yet and that if you wanted me to come with you." I overheard Cam say.
I saw Nash's knuckles turn white from clenching them so hard. "No I'm fine thanks." He said through gritted teeth.
Cam looked disappointed and looked around Nash at me and smiled.
Who does he think he is? Nash obviously thinking the same thing stepped in front of him again blocking me from his view. Cam you're asking for it.
NASH'S POV:
Of course! Because nothing I plan EVER runs smoothly. Cam had to come while I was working my master plan.
He likes Kay. And I don't like that. Not at all.
I took a step outside with Cam so Kay wouldn't have to see me beat him up. That, and he kept looking at her and I didn't like it. At all.
"Look man, I know you're just a concerned friend, but please. I'm trying to win her back here?" I asked laying down the line.
"Wait you two aren't together?" he asked surprisingly.
"Not at the moment but its a positively working process." I said through gritted teeth.
"Yes! That means I have a better chance with Kay now!" he said too enthusiastically for my liking.
Remember that line I put down? Yeah he just stepped over it and ran another mile.
"Look. I'm winning Kay back over so if you don't mind stopping by some other time it would be greatly appreciated." I grumbled.
I was not about to let him in that house again.
"Oh ok. But just so you know. I think she likes me." He said turning to leave.
I snorted but deep down a spark of doubt lightened inside me. Did she?
I huffed and walked back in the house an plopped down on the same beanbag as Kay. I don't trust him or even me at this point so I'm just gonna go with it.
She looked at me giving me a questioning look and I couldn't take it any more.
I placed my hand on the back of her neck and leaned in. And to my utter delighted surprise she didn't do anything to stop me.
Her lips brushed mine before I pulled her into a full kiss.
Her lips felt so soft and perfect on mine. Cam wasn't winning now. Not by a long shot.
