Chapter 20: Dress shopping with Leah

ELLAs POV

Friday came and that meant that us girls could finally go dress shopping with Leah.

We were in the car driving up to that little shop with the dresses. Me and Sophie sat in the back talking about the cake. While mum and Leah sat in the front.

"So ELLA, what our dress like" asked Leah turning around to face us.

"It's a surprise but I guarantee that you will love it Leah" I told her and closing it with a smile. She giggled with excitement and then went to text on her phone. Liam was all she talked about and texted if the subject wasn't the wedding. The odd time she would mention her friends or even text them but she was very hung up on this Liam boy. I had to admit. He was a lovely cute lad and was kind and seemed to like Leah for her and not just because she was a pretty young girl.

We walked into to 'Stacy's Boutique of Wedding Dresses'. We were welcomed by a warm 'Hello' from Stacey.

"Ok Stacey. This is my plan for the wedding dress" I showed her my drawing. The dress was strapless with sparkles from the top down to the waist fading out. The skirt came out but not so it was big and puffy. The sparkles continued from the bottom of the dress and disappeared up to the top. The dress would be made from white silk and would come down to the floor.

She smiled at it.

"It looks wonderful. I will get someone on that right away. Just give me one moment" she left through a door behind the counter.

She came back with a tape measure and measured my hight, waist band, and bust. Then she left again.

She returned minutes later. She asked us about the bridesmaid dresses that I had saved. I showed them to Leah and her eyes lit up.

"ELLA they are beautiful. I can't believe that I am going to wear something like that. Thank you" she cried and I gave her a big hug and kissed her forehead.

Sophie and Leah went to try on the dresses. While they were getting changed I went looking for shoes and something for their hair. The came out and I handed them the accessories. They both looked amazing. The white silk plain knee length dress suited them both very well. I had chosen a white headband with a sparkled bow and white sparkled flat shoes. It all corresponded very nicely together and they would match my dress perfectly.

After buying the dresses and accessories Stacy asked me to come back in a few weeks time to try my dress on. I gave her my number and she would call me when it was ready.

We left Stacey's shop and made our way to a bakery. 'Mommas Cakes' read the sign above the door. We walked in and sat down at a pink circle table. A tallish lady with short black spiky hair stoled over to the table.

"How may I help you today?" she asked in a happy voice. It was me who replied.

"I was wondering if we could taste a wide variety of cakes and see which one would be best for my wedding cake" I asked politely. The lady smiled warmly.

"Why of cause you can. I would be happy to help. And please call me Izzy. Now shall I get some drinks before I bring out some cake?" We ordered four waters.

Izzy brought out the first cake slices and gave us each a plate. It was double chocolate with a rich layer of chocolate fudge cream on the top and in the middle. It was nice but not for a wedding cake, more of a birthday cake.

The second was a Victoria sponge. A layer of jam and cream in the middle with sprinkled icing sugar on the top. Again it was nice but not for my wedding.
