Chapter 5: Just work, nothing special

Ellas POV

I woke up at a reasonable time to get myself ready for work. It was 8:00. Though that was the same time as yesterday I didn't have Jake to distract me. I got dressed quickly. I peeped into Leah room to see if she was awake. I found her sound asleep. I made my way to the kitchen to get myself breakfast. I was craving for pancakes but I didn't want to make any noise. Instead I got myself cereal with a glass of apple juice. I finished off and tidied my stuff away. The clock on the oven read 8:30. I wrote a quick note for my family saying sorry that I had to go to work but we see them later. I grabbed my bag and my keys unlocking the door and then went out the door relocking it behind me.

With the shining sun on my face I smiled as I go into my car. I drove into town parking my car at the back of Summer Stalls. I got in the back door and then did my usual routine that. The day seemed long, I hadn't seen Jake yet as he was at work as well. As it came to closing time I was really bored and a little down. I needed my Jake to make it better. On my way home I took a detour and headed for the garage. I didn't need anything for my car but I desperately wanted to see Jacob before going home.

I parked my car next to his and walked into the desk area of the open building. It was black and blue colored inside with the name of the company on the wall behind the desk. 'Fixing it for YOU' was their name and they did everything that you could think of for a car. I went over the desk to find Conner standing with his back to it.

"Conner?" I asked to make sure it was him. He spun around and looked at me.

"ELLA!" he almost shouted walking around the side of the desk to give me a hug. "I haven't seen you in a while, how's things?" he asked while leaning back on the desk.

"Yeah I'm great how about you?" I asked.

"Really good thanks. Well I guess your hear to see Jacob?" I smiled and nodded.

"Is he busy? I could always come back" I was hoping that he wouldn't be busy; I really needed a Jake hug and a kiss to cheer up my mood after not seeing him all day. At that moment Jacob walked through the door. I practically ran to him locking my arms around his neck. He gave me a big hug before coming out of it. I almost had tears in my eyes that I could see him. "Ella are you alright? What's wrong?" Jakes voice was concerned. I shock my head.

"No everything is perfect now" I reassured him. Jacob bent down and kissed me, it was passionate yet gentle as our lips moved with each other.

I heard the door slam close and we were alone. It must have been Conner. He probably went to finish what jake was doing. I gave Jake another kiss before pulling away.

"I need to go" Jacobs face fell.

"You only just got here"

"I know but my family would have expected me home fifteen minutes ago" Jake walked me to my car and gave me another hard loving kiss. I might not see him until Thursday lunchtime. We were kissing for another five minutes until I was gasping for air. He gave me a hug and a kiss on my forehead before I got into the car.

I got home by 3:40 and went into the kitchen to get a glass of apple juice before going into the living room to see my parents and sister watching a movie.

"I thought you finished work at three?" said dad as he looked at me sitting down on the sofa next to Leah.

"Yeah I do. I stopped off at the garage" I said.

"What was wrong with your car?" dad asked concerned.

"Nothing. I went to see Jake, so we can do something tomorrow and then Jake is taking me out for a birthday lunch on Thursday" I looked down but keeping him still in view at the corner of my eye. After not saying anything for a while I looked up to see dad trying to think of something to say.

"Umm okay then. What do you want to to tomorrow?" we all thought for a moment thinking of an idea on what we could do as a family tomorrow. It was Leah who came up with the idea.

"We could go bowling?" we all exchanged glances.

"Thats a great idea Leah. And we should do teams. Me and you against mum and dad" I told Leah and she had a bright smile on her face.

"I like that too. Well done Leah" mum said getting up and going to make herself a cup of tea.

Dad sat back in his seat and I talked quietly to Leah about the surprise Jake gave me yesterday. We were giggling at the story and it was driving my dad crazy as we were talking to low for him to hear. I loved to talk about me and Jake with Leah. Though I would keep out the kissing and the stuff that she is not old enough to know yet. After an hour dad couldn't take it and went into his study to do a little work. Mum joined us and I told them about SOME of the things that we did when they were away. It had been such a long time until we had just talked together.

At 6:00 dad came out of his study. "I can't be bothered to cook. Who wants Chinese?" dad said coming into the living room.

"Me me me me me me me me" Leah called jumping. I would imagine that she hadn't had it in a while. Dad called up the Chinese and ordered: chicken fried rice with chicken chow mane and and prawns on toast. It came fifteen minutes later and we ate together while watching a movie. Part way through my phone rang and I wet up to my bedroom to answer it. It was Jake. We spoke to hours that night until I had to get to bed to get ready for our bowling competition. Me and Leah against Mum and Dad. It's going to be fun. "Night Jake. I love you."

"Love you too baby I will see you Thursday. Night"

I got ready for bed and went to sleep.
