Chapter 15: Proposal
Jacob POV
I woke up nice and early. My small ancient bedsides table clock read 8:10. Ok so maybe it wasn't that early. I washed and dressed myself and then joined my dad for breakfast at the kitchen table. "So today's the day then?" he asked fatherly in a low ground voice. It echoed the walls before reaching my ears and sinking it's way into my head. It took me a while to understand what he was asking even though it wasn't a hard question. I just had a lot on my mind to make sure that it was perfect. "Um, yeah dad. Today's that day. I need everything to be perfect. Conner is coming over before I pick up ELlla to prepare everything right." dad nodded and grabbed the paper that was on the floor and made his way to the living room.
Just then a booming knock came from the door. I opened it to find a rather excited Conner standing with various bits and pieces that would help me for later on. I let him in and made some pancakes. I new that they were his favorite. Ella's too; she would have here's with strawberries, chopped banana and golden syrup. I smiled as I cooked them. We ate and talked about my plan for the proposal.
Then we got to work on my big plan.
Ella's POV
I woke up feeling rather excited. I new what Jacob had planned would be great. I had received a text from him saying 'To my Ella. I love you lots and lots, I can't wait for what I have planned for us to do. I will see you soon. Your Jake xxxx' I smiled as I read it over and over again.
I rushed to the bathroom grabbing my makeup bag with me. I took a shower and did my make up then straightened my hair and early pinning it up into a high ponytail. I know that Jake liked it like this so I did it for him. I made my way back to my bed room to get dressed.
I went to my wardrobe. What could I wear? I took a glimpse out of the window. The steaming sun shone in the sky like an energetic ball of flame. It was going to be a hot day. I got out my light tan brown shorts and brown belt. I found my white vest top with the curved neck and then clasped my Jacob necklace (the one he got me for my birthday) around my neck letting it hang delicately on my chest. I slipped on my white sandles and practically skipped downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast.
I ate my cereal and then texted Sophie until Jacob came. I heard a knock at the door and I went to get it. I opened it to a happy excited Jake. I was greeted with "Hello Beautiful" I smiled and missed his lips. "Are you ready to go?" Jake asked. I gave him an excited smile and he returned it with an ear to ear grin.
Without hesitation he took my hand and we left the house to get to his car. Jacob opened the door for me and then joined me but in the drivers side of the car.
Jacob looked happy and excited but I could tell there was a hint of nervousness. I wonder what he had planned for us to do to make him uneasy. As we got closer to the destination I started to recognize my surroundings. He was taking me to our waterfall. I pushed back my last memory from when I visited before and refused that to cross my mind. I focused on Jake. How his muscular body looked beautiful in no mater what he would wear. Then his deep brown dreamy eyes that matched his short dark brown hair, in which was spiked in multiple directions. I soon made my thoughts down to his lips. They were as soft as a butterflies bounce. Sweet and red.
My thoughts were stopped as the car pulled into the stoned path. Jacob quickly met me at my door opening it and gestured a hand and I took it. He kissed it lightly. "Jake what's going on?" I asked politely but curious. He just smiled and said four words "You'll see my Ella" we walked hand I hand to the opening where our waterfall was. As I got closer I saw a light glowing floor. The sun was behind the could making the sky a dull white sheet that hung above us. I looked closer as we approached the opening. There places neatly in the grass were hundreds of candles; all lit with a single flame of fire. I gasped and couldn't find the words to say how I truly felt. I could feel light watered tears welling up in my eyes. In the see of candles there was a clear path that lead to a deep red blanket near the side of the pool of crystal clear water. I walked slowly up to the blanket and walked in a circle slowly taking in the most beautiful scenery I had ever seen.
