Yumna:
I lay on bed since it was afternoon I just love to take nap in the afternoon infact mum and dad do also it was now 5months since our marriage.
Our marriage anniversary was today, but Ahad had left for work and had not shown up for lunch.

When I tried to text him, all he said was that he would be arriving home late.

Although we have experienced a great deal together, we have come this far because of one another's support.
Ever since I first met him, everything kept coming back to me.

Even though I have tried my hardest to remove the dare part of his first proposal—which still hurts a lot—I have never brought it up since I forgave him.

I still find it hard to imagine the day that I went through when Ahad told me that we were going to cancel our wedding after we had an accident and received threats.

He then tried to push me away, avoiding me because he felt guilty about being so bold.

After then, we learned of my uncle and aunt's difficult lives.

Almighty, please never stop supporting us. Our struggles have truly helped us grow as a people and to understand one another.

It is our wedding anniversary today. I know I should not have brought up work yesterday, but I received a good offer. I never considered working after marriage, so when this opportunity presented itself, I was at a loss for what to do. Ahad completely rejected it.

It was getting close to dusk. "Where was he?"The scene in front of me just made my mouth open and close as I got up, splattered water on my face, put on my hijab, and went downstairs for dinner.

There stood the person who had been on my mind all morning, setting up roses on the table, and maybe my parents were already seated and waiting for me?They were unaware that I was there.

No matter what happens or how much we argue, we rarely forget the little details about our loved ones. That is what I love most about my in-laws and Ahad, I wiped away my tears.

They all turned to look at me and smiled broadly when I cleared my throat, including Ahad, as if our argument from yesterday had never even occurred.

He got closer to me, and he knows and loves it when it makes me blush and feel insecure.

He kissed me on the cheek and said, "Happy anniversary, sweetheart." I moved shyly to greet his parents and was greeted by the smell of cake, which looked really delicious. MashaaAllah I don't like baking muchI prefer cooking though I try sometimes.

Mum and Dad wished us a happy anniversary, and I hugged them as they motioned for me to join Ahad in cutting cake.

With a loving gaze at her spouse, my mother-in-law told me, "There is no need to feel shy once we were just your age. We understand."

Before we fed them and cut the cake, the four of us had planned to go out to dinner as our treat.

We each went to our rooms, but I still had questions.

"Where were you all day? I was so worried that you could not even text me," I said, uttering whatever toy-mind occurred to me at times. He can be quite annoying.

I stepped back and met his eyes, seeing sincerity and honesty. "Sorry, I was busy planning our day and night plans and time flew," he said, hugging me in return.

"You are forgiven, but please remember to text me the next time," I said, helping him take off his coat and set it down on his chair as he took off his shoes.

We planned to depart by 9 p.m. after praying Isha at 8.30 p.m. It was already 8 p.m.

"What happened to the promotion I received?"I asked him as I was putting his shoes in the shoe corned and noticed that he was sitting there, staring off into space, lost in thought.

"Please, I am here to help; do not work."I gave it a lot of thought, and it was a good offer, but he was pleading with me in a low voice.

He said, as if he sensed something was wrong and it made sense to ask why I had not thought of it earlier, "First I will find out about this company and then let you know even if you have worked before why after all these months they all of sudden remembered you I think something is fishy."

How about dinner, my love? Are you ready? As we lay in bed, he inquired, and I took off our clothes.

"Yes, go wake up your father and pray in the mosque; there is still time," I informed him as I undressed our matching outfits. I took off my pink suit, his pink shirt, and my pink tie. It will be interesting to watch his response.

He went to the masjid with dad while me and mum prayed at home and I told mum our matching colours and she just laughed she went to dress up while I went in my room upstairs.

I was trembling already because I was afraid of darkness and that there was a guy in our room when I came out of the bathroom ten minutes later and changed. I saw a figure standing near our bed approaching and he was checking out at something. Then the lights went out and a strong wind blew.

"Who are you?"I moved backwards, wanting to scream, but what if there are other men and they hurt my mother-in-law? I asked him quietly, hoping he would hear me.

"What do you want?"I asked, my hands sweating and my voice trembling, "I hate darkness."

I froze when I heard a deep, scary voice say, "Your worst nightmare, enjoy few days with your loving husband, count down begins."

Ahad, please come as soon as possible.
