The ride was more terrifying than ever. We spent the entire time listening desperately to the conversation taking place in the main part of the car, only to find out that Duncan, Violet and Sunny were now in a fire truck, safe as could be in this situation and on route to somewhere Esme was in no mood to wait to get to. Talk of a sugar bowl, acting and what they were going to do to us and our siblings then took over the conversation, so we stopped listening to it and payed more attention to each other. Klaus was powering through the huge bruise on the left side of his face, his glasses illuminating the fear in his eyes. He didn't cry at all. He didn't complain either. He just kept saying he would get me out of here, that we were going to get through this and get to the life we dreamed of. He's just so strong.
"Klaus?" I asked, softly, trying not to break his train of thought. I know it bothered him whenever anybody did that, so I said it softly enough so he could finish whatever his intelligent, witty mind was focusing on.
"Yeah sweetheart?" He asked just as softly. I loved hearing the words coming out of his mouth. The fact he was calling me sweetheart, the fact he said it so softly as if I was the only person he'd ever call a name so loving. Maybe I was the only one he'd call that. The thought makes my heart plummet to my feet.
"What is your dream life? Not mine or our siblings, but what's yours?" I asked, eager to get a clearer vision of what Klaus really wanted.
"I-It's kind of embarrassing Izzie, really..." he murmured, avoiding eye contact with me, my eyes immediately missing the glow and beauty of his green gems.
"I don't mind. Please Klaus, you know I'd never judge or tell anyone what you say." I said just as softly as before, my hand moving into his, his fingers interlocking with mine as if on instinct.
"I love you so much. You really want to know?" He asked, his eyes meeting mine once more. I nodded immediately.
"We've escaped this hell. I've gotten a lot of my parents fortune, and you have too. I live in a mansion with you, with a huge library and it's so safe we forget about this completely," he says, almost moving off into a complete daze, where he's in the very world he's describing. He continues, "Our siblings live just across the street, and I wake up next to you. It's so peaceful and just perfect. It's just an utterly perfect dream." He breathes, and by the end, he's smiling widely, and I'm returning the smile. A delicate, happy blush is on both of our cheeks. We're just lost in each other, smiling with our entire faces, gazing into each other's eyes. We seem to communicate silently, as our lips collide gently, our arms wrapping around each other. It isn't like our last few kisses, they've all been deep and fast, as if we'll never get the chance again, but not this one. This one's slow, passionate. Dreamy. Klaus' tongue slides into my mouth slowly, then wraps around mine gently. We stay that way for what seems to be forever, the closest to heaven we can get at the moment until we break apart. I can tell by the look in Klaus' eyes he wants to kiss me again, but wherever we're going we're there now, and that means Duncan, Violet and Sunny are close. We have to find a way out now.
(A/N: Thank you all so much for 700 reads! I can't tell you how happy this makes me. I am sorry about the length of this chapter and how long it took me to get it out. I'm really annoyed about the quality in this chapter compared to the others, but hopefully, it was as romantic as I wanted it to be! Thanks again for reading, I'll try to publish another chapter sometime either tomorrow or Tuesday!)
