Lucas: I walk out of Ava's room and look around for a guard, Ava's size so that she'll fit the clothes.
Ava: I grab my pillow and toss it onto the ground, so I have something to lay my head on, so I don't get my hair all dirty. "Alright now, how should I lay? Tongue out? Would it be creepy if I kept my eyes open? Yeah, it probably would be..."
Lucas: I keep looking around until I spot a guard by the elevator that seems perfect. I start to speed walk then slowly pick up the pace and start to run; I grab the guard's arm and start to cry on cue and scream. "Sir, I think my friend is dead! We need you please come to the room!" I pull on his arm trying to lead him there.
Guard: "Alright, alright calm down I'll go check it out with you."
Lucas: I continue my best to keep crying, as I'm leading the way to Ava's room and all I can think about is if she's ready or not.
Ava: I'm on the ground with my head on the pillow and I try to pose for what I'm going to do. "Never would've thought it would be this hard to fake being dead...well I do want to sell it, so I don't have to do it again."
Lucas: I start to get closer to the door and I wipe my eyes from all the tears. The guard and I both get to the door and open it.
Ava: I hear the knob from the door being turned and I quickly spread my arms and legs out, with my eyes open and my tongue out trying to be dead.
Lucas: The guard squats down and grabs Ava's arm to feel her pulse. Meanwhile, I reach over slowly for Ava's desk lamp.
Guard: "I think she's fine...there's still a bea-..."
Lucas: I bash the lamp over his head and his falls to the ground. I toss the lamp to the side and help Ava up. "Woah so bad-ass of me. How did no one hear that?"
Ava: "No one's really worried about us." Lucas and I start to hear groaning noises, and we look over at the guard and see that he's still moving and trying to get up. "Oh my god he's still awake..." We both walk over and start to kick and stomp him, trying to knock him out. Eventually, he falls back down and stops moving. "I hope we didn't kill him..." I say as I start to take his clothes off and put them over mine.
Lucas: "Well he probably has brain damage and maybe a concussion...but some ibuprofen should help."I shrug it off.
Ava: I finish putting on the clothes and I grab my backpack and put it on. "So...this is it..."
Lucas: "Well I hope you accomplish your goal out there and that you stay safe. I hope to see you again one day." I smirk, we both open up our arms and hug each other for a while.
Ava: I'm the first one to break the hug and I take a deep breath. "Alright let's do this thing." Lucas nods, and we both walk out my room and I close the door behind me. Once, we get into the hall we both go in different directions. Lucas going to his room and me going to the elevator. I keep the guard's hat that I'm wearing tilted down to hide part of my face. Once I get to the elevator I push the up button and wait for the doors to open.
Lucas: I get to my room and quickly close the door and lock it. I grab my computer and try to get into the cameras and power system as fast as I can without getting caught through the computer.
Ava: The doors open and I walk inside and push the top floor button. I look over and see another guard standing there waiting to get to his floor. The guard says, "hey" to me and I reply with "Sup" in the deepest voice I can do. The elevator starts to go up and my heart starts to race thinking that I'm so close to getting out.
Lucas: I get into the cameras and I flip through them quickly trying to find the elevator one. Eventually, I get to it and I sigh with relief once I see Ava standing there acting calmly. Until the elevator stops, opens, and Warden Cooper and two other guards come walking in. "Oh shit!" I quickly try to get into the power system just in case.
Ava: Once I see the Warden walk in my heart starts to beat even faster that everyone in the elevator can probably hear it going.
Warden Cooper: As I'm walking into the elevator I resume my conversation with one of the guards that walked in with me. "Remind me to have a meeting with the Ava Singh girl. I've gotten word that she's missed more classes than everyone, and she's known to sass back her teachers. Now that I think about it I may just kill her...no point in trying to change her." The guard agrees with me.
Ava: I clench my fists and try to calm myself and just keep focused on escaping. Once we're at the top I walk out and look around confused at the new area that I haven't been to.
Lucas: I get into the power system and look back at the cameras and see Ava is confused on where to go next. I chuckle and start to help her out.
Ava: I look around and see one of the light bulbs flashing on and off and I take that as a sign and start to walk to it. Once I'm at it I see a different one flashing on and off and take it that Lucas is leading me there. I look up at one of the cameras and mouth the words, thank you. And I start to follow the flashing lights all the way.
Lucas: I smile and see her saying thank you. "You are quite welcome...even though you can't hear me."
Ava: I finally get to the sealed hatch and I see the guards, 3 on the left side of the wall and 3 on the other side. I walk down calmly and go to the guard closest to the sealed hatch and use my deep man voice once again. "You can leave, I'm taking your shift." He nods and walks away and I take his spot. I look over to the left looking at the stairs leading to the hatch. "Alright, what now?" I say to myself.
Lucas: "This should do the trick." I hover my mouse over the shut down all power button and take a deep breath. "She'll have a minute until the backup generator comes back on...you got this girl." I hit the button and all the power goes out in the whole Penitentiary.
Ava: Right when the lights go out I dash over to the stairs and try to go up them as quickly and quietly as possible. "Holy shit there's a lot of steps here," I mumble to myself. I finally get to the sealed hatch and I can taste freedom already. I grab onto the hatch and try to push it to the left to get it loose and open it but it's sealed tight. "Damn...this is tight. I need to hurry." I put all my strength into pushing it and I can feel it moving slowly. The lights come back on quicker than I expected and I try to hurry and keep pushing it, thinking about wanting to get out. I'm close to getting it open until I start to hear the guards talking about where I'm at. They walk over to the steps and see me. They call me out and call for backup and start to run up the steps for me. "Shit, shit, shit..." I finally get it open and I push the hatch up and I can smell the fresh air. "Stop right there!" I hear one of the guards say and they start firing at me. I groan and push it all the way out, enough room for me to get out. I shimmy through the open space and slam the hatch shut in front of one of the guy's face. I look around and start to pant and think that I'm finally out, that I finally made it outside. "I did it.." I chuckle and wipe the sweat from my forehand and take off running as fast and as far as I can to get as much distance as possible.
