Ava: I'm running as fast and as far as my legs can take me until I start to slow down and run into this broken and run-down coffee shop. I jump over the counter, duck down and hide to catch my breath. "I probably should've stretched...before I ran all of that. Wow...I'm tired." I tilt my head back trying to relax and I look through the hole of the shop and see that it's night time but can't see any of the stars because they're hidden behind clouds of smog. "That's a bummer was hoping to see stars for the first time." I sigh and start to take off the guard's clothes; as I take the clothes off, I glance at my body for a second starting to feel a little pain in my left side. I look at my side and see blood seeping out and right when I look at it the pain hits me out of nowhere. "D-did I get shot? I didn't even feel it...probably the adrenaline rush I had..." I hold my side, putting pressure on it. As I do I scan around the shop. "Where even am I?" I pick up a cup off the ground. "Starbucks? Well, that's a stupid name." I put my right hand on the counter and push myself up. "Maybe this, Starbucks, has a first aid kit." I walk around pulling things off shelves and moving things around trying to find anything to help. After searching for about 10 minutes I only come across scissors, gauze and a small bottle of rum. "I have a feeling this is going to hurt like hell." I pour some of the rum on the scissors; then preparing myself, I take a deep breath and pour some over the bullet wound trying to clean it. I groan and clench my teeth, trying not freak out. I grab the scissors ready to take the bullet out. "You got this Ava...don't wimp out. You're strong..." I put the scissors into the wound slowly trying to grab the bullet and pull it out. I start to tear up from the pain, still trying to remain quiet and not scream from the overwhelming pain. I try to look through the tears and only see blood slowly coming out as I try to get it. Once I have the bullet I pull it out slowly and once it's out, I throw it to the side. "Finally..." I grab the gauze and wrap around the wound tightly hoping it'll substitute for a while. I sigh with relief and put my hand on the wound softly as I head back to the front of the Starbucks. "25 minutes out here and I almost bleed to death. Now that, that's taken care of...time to start walking around. Look for allies or anything." I grab my backpack and throw it over my right shoulder. "Lucas is probably having a better time than me..."

*An hour later*

Ava: As I'm walking around I see that 95% of everything is destroyed, broken, reabsorbed by nature and that there's trash everywhere, making it look like a real apocalyptic dystopia. "Jeez, the world really lost their shit after the Commander came into play along with all the new rules and laws... I guess they eventually got tired of doing peaceful protests." I say quietly to myself. As I'm walking I hear a door creak from afar. I quietly run in the opposite direction and hide behind a rusty broken down car and watch. As I'm watching I see two tall big guys walk out of a building talking. But since I'm too far their conversation is too hard to make out. I keep watching but suddenly I get grabbed from behind and a hand gets put over my mouth, preventing me from talking. I start to squirm and freak out as the guy pulls me out from the car. Then the guy grabbing me says, "Hey guys, I found someone trying to eavesdrop on us!" The two guys start to run over and I see both of them pull out their guns. I start to think that this is the end for me again until I hear a fast swooshing sound and see an arrow enter one of the two guys' head. Then seconds later another one, as the guy behind me is distracted by what's going on. I grab one of my throwing knives and stab the guy in the knee and once he's released me just enough, I turn around and stab him in the eye repeatedly. Red thick blood splattering all over me, him and the ground. I stop myself and look at the mess that I just made. "It's fine Ava...you had to do it. He was the first you had to kill and he certainly won't be the last." I look up looking around for the person that saved me. For a split second, I see someone running on top of a small building. "Wait!" I run after them looking up every now and then so that I don't lose the person. I jump over random obstacles that seem to be placed in my way. Once the person gets low enough they jump off onto the ground and quickly turn a corner trying to lose me. "Wait! Why did you save me?!" I probably shouldn't be yelling in case someone else tries to grab me. I turn the corner that the person just took and can't find them anywhere, losing them. "Shit..." I sigh and turn around and in a blink of an eye, I get punched in the face and fall to the ground, getting knocked out.
