Chapter 29

*It's the next day and everyone is lounging around the Penthouse in robes eating fancy breakfast foods and exotic fruit.*

Lucas: "Wow...can't believe you really took on Atlas two times and beat him! It sounds like you've head quite the adventure."

Ava: "Now I know how you feel when you fought him for me back at the Penitentiary. And I can't believe you killed the Warden and almost every guard in there. Looks like we've both been through a lot.

Luna: I'm in the kitchen stuffing my face with all the food because it's been a while since I've had a real meal. "Oh my god...so good."

Diego: "All right you guys time to start setting up the plan to get in there." I unfold the blueprints on the dining table and everyone circles around.

Ava: "I took a look at it last night and I've thought of a plan." I go over the plan with the others about how we have to hack into security, wear disguises probably, crawl in vents and possibly split up. I go over bit by bit so that no one gets confused.

Lucas: "This is a pretty good plan...and you thought of all of this last night?"

Ava: "Yep."

Luna: "Should we have a plan B?"

Diego: "We also need to restock on weapons. I could use more bullets and Luna could use more arrows.

Ava: "All right slow down one at a time. It would be good to have a backup plan but if things go South we can just improvise we've been doing that all throughout this venture. And Lucas and I can go get the stuff that we need."

Luna: "Sounds good to me."

Diego: "Wait..." Everyone groans because I keep asking questions. "...if we do split up where are we going to meet afterward."

Ava: "Well probably in the Office where the Commander will be staying or back here."

Lucas: "I just hope Atlas doesn't come back and ruin things."

Luna: "And if he does, it's 4 against 1 there's no way he could win."

Ava: "All right so the plan is settled everyone get dressed and do whatever you need to do. The plan starts tonight." Everyone shakes their head agreeing. I walk off to go get ready for the day and so does Lucas.

Diego: I catch Luna before she walks off. "Hey, do you wanna help me hijack a car for tonight?"

Luna: "Of course I'm always up for a good hijacking." I smirk

*2 hours later*

Ava: I'm walking around with Lucas dressed up all fancy, holding hands so that people think that we're a couple. "I just realized we don't have any money to pay for the bullets or arrows."

Lucas: "Yeah I thought about that too, then I just figured that we're gonna steal it."

Ava: I shrug. "Yeah, I'm fine with that." Lucas and I walk into a Bass Pro Shop and immediately walk over to the hunting section and go over to ammunition.

Lucas: "Wait...there's different types of bullets? Well, which ones does he need...?"

Ava: "Uh...well. Let's just take all?" We both rush before anyone sees us and we stuff the little boxes with bullets into our pockets. "God this is heavy altogether. All right now arrows."

Lucas: "Guessing Luna wants the sharpest arrows? And how are we gonna sneak these out without stabbing ourselves?"

Ava: "Well...," I say walking to the archery section with Lucas. "One of us distracts the employee and the other runs out the store with them." We get the arrows and I take my time choosing which ones to get so that Luna we'll be able to take down people faster.

Lucas: "Earth to Ava...I think your girlfriend will be fine with any arrows you get."

Ava: I start blushing and turn to Lucas. "She's not my...we're not...well we...never mind. Shut up." I say unable to say anything.

Lucas: I smirk and grab a bundle of any arrows. "You're up," I say sprinting out the store without saying anything else or stopping for the employee yelling at me.

Ava: "Wait! Shit..." I jog over to the guy about to call the police and I start fake crying. "Did you see my baby? I can't find my baby! I turned around and he was gone." I start crying loudly to draw attention to us.

Employee: "M-ma'am...?" I hang up the phone. "I'll help you find your baby. It's okay. Where was the last place you saw him."

Ava: I wipe my tears and try to calm myself. "O-O-Over by shooting accessories."

Employee: "All right I'll go look around. Stay right here." I say running off.

Ava: "Thank you...thank you... God bless you!" Once he's far enough I turn around and run out of the store as well. I keep running until I get pulled into an alley by Lucas. "Shit, you scared me!" I say catching my breath.

Lucas: "I didn't know you could act...you have all sorts of tricks up your sleeve, don't ya?"

Ava: I smile and chuckle softly. "I guess so."

Diego: I'm walking down the crowded sidewalk with robots, other people and Luna. "There's too many people to even get close to a car and imagine the futuristic security system on them now."

Luna: "We need an all black car. It'll be dark out and help us blend in."

Diego: "We need a big car too just in case. Maybe a Black SUV?"

Luna: "There's got to be a million people here how are we going to find a Black SUV?" Seconds later of saying that we see one stroll by and park on the side of the road. "Okay, that was just pure luck." We both run over and I hide on the other side of the car and Diego goes to confront her.

Diego: She opens her door and I come up to her. "Valet?" I say holding my hands out for the keys.

Lady: "Valet? For a pharmacy...?"

Diego: "Yes? It's a new thing we're trying out. Don't worry there's no charge.

Lady: I look the guy up and down. "You don't look like a valet person..."

Diego: I get closer to her and try to use my body and charm to persuade her and make her less uncomfortable. "We haven't gotten our outfits yet. It's okay...you can trust me..." I say getting closer and holding her hand.

Lady: Without another word I give him my keys and walk off blushing.

Luna: I come out from hiding. "Damn that was good. Are you sure you're gay?"

Diego: "Yeah I'm sure. Just ask Lucas."

Luna: I laugh and pause for a second. "Wait...what do you mean ask Luc-..." I get interrupted.

Diego: "All right let's go pick up Ava and Lucas." I see the still confused look on her face and she hops in the car and I hop in without another word. I drive the car to the closest hunting store and see them in an alley. I pull up next to them, roll down the windows and yell out. "Did anyone call for an Uber?!"

Ava: Lucas and I both walk to the backseats of the car. "A what? An Uber? What's that?"

Diego: "Eh...just forgot it." Once they're in, I pull off back to the hotel. "Did you get the stuff?"

Ava: "Yep we're all ready for tonight. It's time to do this."
