It was Saturday and when I woke up with my usual grimace the realisation of the day soon turned it into a smile.
But for some odd reason, after showering, I spent most of the day pondering over what to wear. The countless number of outfits I'd taken out didn't seem worthy.
What is wrong with me? It's not like I need to impress anyone. Why am I stressing so much?
Even after having convinced myself that I didn't need to put in effort in my clothing choice, I still didn't make a decision on what to wear.
My usual hoodie wasn't enough and a dress seemed like I was trying too hard.
"Ughhh," I groaned in frustration.
"I have nothing to wear."I sat on the floor with both my legs stretched out as I stared at all the clothes I had thrown down.
My phone rang and I answered the call without checking the caller ID.
"What?" I answered.
"Hello to you too."
"What do you want Jungkook?"
"Nothing in particular. I just wanted to know if you were ready yet?"
"Why would I be ready? It's only," I checked the time on my wall clock," oh my god it's already five thirty."
Jungkook laughed on the other side from my change in non chalance to panic.
"So it would be safe to say you're not ready?"
"If being in pjs classifies as being ready then I was ready from eight."
"I have no problem if you come wearing your pjs."
"Jungkook, for once in your life be serious. I have no idea what to wear. Why did I even agree to come?"
"Just wear whatever."
"Whatever? What is whatever? Whatever could be a number of things. In fact whatever could be nothing," I said exasperatedly.
"I'm good with that too," he teased.
"Jungkook! I have a serious problem and you don't even care. I don't even know why I'm telling you all of this. I'll see you later. Bye."
I cut the call not caring if Jungkook had anything left to say.
I decided to take another shower to clear my mind and relax me. I was legitimately stressing for no reason. But then again if I wore anything I might look like a hobo in comparison to everyone else.
Lord have mercy on me.
The shower didn't help me make a decision because when I left the bathroom I was still left with the same problem. I had no idea what to wear.
My phone rang again and I answered it thinking it was Jungkook.
"What useless advice do you have for me now, Jungkook?"
"Looks like someone is having trouble with my friend."
"Taehyung oppa? How did you get my number?"
"I asked for it and you gave it to me. Remember?"
"Oh yeah, sorry."
"So what useless advice has my young friend given you?"
"I'm coming to Ikigai to watch you guys perform and I don't know what to wear. He told to me to wear, and I quote, "whatever". That obviously helped me in no way. Idiot."
Taehyung chuckled in response.
"What are your options?"
"I have a maroon hoodie but I don't think it's suitable. There's this black sequined blouse or-"
