It was 9am when the doorbell rang.
I already knew who who was at the door. He came right on time.I opened the door to find - big surprise - a smiling Jungkook, waiting for me.
"You can come in," I said.
"Thanks." He looked around as he entered.
"I didn't get to tell you yesterday, but nice house.""Thanks."
"It's not what I expected."
"Why? What did you expect? Something smaller because I'm a scholarship student?"
"No," he said and I raised my eyebrow.
"Fine. Yes, that's what I assumed.""That's why we should never assume things. As the saying goes, Assumptions killed the cat."
"I thought it was curiosity."
"It is. But let's just call it poetic licence."
"Fair enough... You know, if more people knew where you lived and that you were rich, you'd be so popular."
"Precisely why I don't like anyone knowing where I live. Your behaviour towards me shouldn't change just because my parents have money," I said, sitting on the couch.
"I understand." He sat next to me.
"Do you want anything to drink?" I asked trying to be a decent host.
"No. I'm good. Thank you."
Thank God. I hate tending to guests even if I invited them.
I really need to work on my laziness."Anywho, did you bring what I asked you to?"
"Yeah, here it is," he said, handing me a USB.
"It has all of Bangtan's songs. Even the cheesy ones. But why did you want them?""What kind of friend or fan would I be if I didn't know your songs? Plus I needed new music to listen to," I responded.
He nodded his head in understanding.
"The sound quality of the songs are good because Namjoon has his own studio at home."
"Cool. Thank you."
"No prob," he responded.
"Okay, so what do you want to do?" I asked a little too enthusiastically.
"You said that we needed to take the friendship slowly and that I don't even know your favourite colour. So how about 20 questions?" He suggested.
"Sure. Oh! But before we start I needed you to read something," I said getting up quickly and going to my room.
"Ookay," he replied confused.
A few minutes later I returned with a few papers and a pen in my hands.
I sat down next to Jungkook and put the stapled papers on the coffee table infront of us.
"What's that?" He pointed at the paper.
"A friendship agreement. I drew it up yesterday."
"I told you that I was sorry about what I said you didn't have to make a document," he said in bewilderment.
"No no. I'm not holding a grudge, I swear. Official documents give me comfort. Well, except for my birth certificate because my parents are definitely my parents."
Jungkook still looked at me sceptically.
"Don't feel offended. I made Hae Soo sign one too. But the stipulations on that one was a little different. I emailed one to Taehyung. Each one is a little different since my friendships are different. Which is bummer, because I have to make a new one for each possible friend," I explained.
