"na jaemin, i want you to explain what the hell happened-"

"jaehyun hyung, i'm really not in the mood."

jaehyun and jaemin have been talking about the bruises on his face for the last 20 minutes.

and when jaemin said jaehyun was nosy as hell, he surely was.

if jaehyun was a cat, he'd be dead by now.

because for that whole 20 minutes, jaehyun was just yapping jaemin's ear off with questions.

it was getting a bit ridiculous honestly.

'how'd you get it?' 'who gave it to you?' 'do i need to call authorities?' 'are you being abused?'

jaemin appreciated the concern, but jaehyun wouldn't even give him 2 seconds to answer anything. the honey haired boy honestly wished jaehyun would just understand that the last thing he wanted to do at that very moment was have to recollect every memory of his aunt beating his ass.

he really was not in the mood and he didn't want to trouble jaehyun with his problems anyway.

jaehyun, on the other hand, knew something always smelt fishy when it came to jaemin and his family. when his aunt stopped by and gave him a look for helping jaemin restock the store before he left for the night, he automatically disliked her.

literally what the FUCK did he do wrong? helping out one of his employees when he had nothing better to do wasn't something to be frowned upon. in fact, any normal person would praise him for being a good boss.

plus, every time his aunt would managed to pick jaemin up after work (if she managed to do so, she hasn't stopped by in a couple weeks), she'd glare at jaehyun.

there was absolutely nothing he could've done to warrant this type of behavior unless jaemin was talking smack about him to her.

which wouldn't make any sense because jaemin never talked ill about anybody.

jaehyun always felt irritated when she had the audacity to show her face to him.

if it wasn't for jaehyun not wanting to catch a charge, he would've went to town on her a long time ago.

but he also knows that was the last thing jaemin wanted to see him a prison cell for.

"jaemin," jaehyun sighs, "just tell me what happened please? you've known me long enough to trust me."

scoffing, jaemin walks out of the small office located inside the store, jaehyun following after him.

"i don't have to tell you everything." he grumbles as he gets behind the front counter.

"i know, jaemin. i know you don't have to, it's just..." jaehyun's voice trails off, not really knowing how to complete his statement. it's not like his goal was to make jaemin uncomfortable. he was sure the younger was aware of this.

there was just an overwhelming amount of concern he was feeling towards him. jaehyun wouldn't know what he'd do if something he could've possibly prevented happened to jaemin.
