i'm the first?!

jaemin wakes up the next morning with a small huff followed by a purse of his lips. his eyes were focused on the ceiling of the room he was currently in, hands gripping at the sheets underneath him.

now it would be one thing to be sleeping over at a friend's house. whether that be chenle or donghyuck's house. but this just so happened to be the house of jeno, the cute boy who stopped by his 7/11 for ramen every night.

well, maybe not every night. just 2 so far.

so the situation he was in now? sleeping in his guest room—and not because they were friends or anything— but because he found him sobbing on the sidewalk in the middle of the night and pitied him for the way he sobbed his problems to him?

god, he wanted to shoot himself in the head so bad.

"fuck," he mumbles to himself, hand sliding down his face before he brings it back up to his eye that wasn't injured, rubbing it gently as he sits up. jaemin was always tired, but this was just tired beyond belief. maybe it was because of his surroundings.

he diverts his attention to the small digital clock on the nightstand, watching as it blinked 12:00AM at him in a taunting manner.

jeno probably forgot to reset it after that power outage a few weeks ago...

there was no way for him to know what time it was, meaning he couldn't sneak out even if he wanted to because:

what if it was still 4am? he couldn't just go ask whoever was working the shift he just swapped out to take over and work until the next person went in which was usually at 9am, 2 hours after his classes would start.

what if it was 7am and he was late? he would never hear the end of it from doyoung; his korean literature teacher who cared about him like he was his own son at times.

there were many possibilities of what could happen and some of them were just risks he wasn't willing to take. not for this reason at least.

instead he sighs, wondering if he should just go back to bed or not before he hears a soft knock at the door. "it's open." He calls out, eyes wandering from the clock over to the now cracked open door with a small hum.

"jaemin?" jeno questions, poking his head into the room. a smile is placed upon his face when he sees jaemin sitting up on the bed. "hey, i just came to check on you to see if you were up."

the honey haired boy gives him a closed mouth smile before timidly mumbling a small, "good morning, jeno."

so it is morning, i could've snuck out if i wanted to.

"good morning, jaemin." he greets in return before opening the door a little more sliding in so he talk to jaemin better.

"Ii was wondering if you needed to shower or anything." jeno leans against the doorframe with his arms crossed and jaemin can't help but thinking that he was the hottest guy in the world.

how the fuck did that weird country guy win sexiest man of the year when jeno existed? it just didn't make any sense.

he looks at jeno in the eyes and nods, "that would be nice if Ii could. if you don't mind—i mean, if you'll let me, i don't have any extra clothes. i'll end up smelling—"

"jaem, i have an extra uniform you can borrow." jeno cuts jaemin off with a small chuckle, "i also charged your phone and if you'd like, we could eat together before we leave?"
