Chapter 5 The Beautiful walk

We pulled up to school yet again for another day, except today was Simon's last day in highschool; He was graduating. Brittney and I slipped out of the car; her in the front seat and me in the passenger side backseat, I flipped my bag over my shoulder and waited for Brittney to get her stuff out of the car so we could walk into school together.

Last period seemed like it lasted forever. History. We had to learn about World War II. I had that class with Grace, Stella, and Sadie though so it was not totally bad. My teacher was actually really funny most the time, but he was still getting relocated was what I think it's called. He didn't give a lot of homework but he liked to mess around. Sure we didn't learn as much as other classes did but we still learned. Well, after school ended I walked down to the end of the hallway, like I usually do and waited for Sapphire. Once she came I said, 'goodbye' and I told Nathan that I would see him later tonight. Then I walked out to Simon's car. Once I got out to his car Simon yelled at me for taking so long. I knew he must have gotten impatient because it was his last day of school but, come on I was just talking to my friends.

Simon's graduation was long and boring. I mean there were a couple funny moments but not many. Before the actual graduation started Nathan came up to me and started crying because his brother was graduating and he felt like everybody was leaving him and now adding me to that list so he cried and hugged me for like 4 minutes straight and wouldn't let go, it was a little weird but I got over it. After graduation my family and I just went home and watched a movie.

After one and a half weeks of going to the same classes doing the same thing it was finally the last day of school, everyone was celebrating and getting super excited etc. I just got super annoyed with everything and once that final bell wrong I was out the door, I found my sister and we looked at each other and gave each other a look that said, 'Let's get out of here', and we turned toward the door. We walked out to the car which Brittney was now driving for the last two weeks because Simon was sleeping at home like all day everyday or at his friend's house. When I got home I started packing; I started with my clothes, then I went to the garage for boxes that Shelby said I could use. I put my boxes and bags into the Durango that belonged to Shelby. I hopped in and waited for Shelby, then my phone started vibrating, it was a call from Nathan. "Umm Hello?"

"May please. Don't leave."

"Nathan, chill I'm going to be just in Maloon, that's only like 45 miles away from Pamela."

"But everyone is leaving me and you're my best friend."

"How about I see if you can stay over for a week after I get settled in to the house?"

"Would they let me? I mean your uncle wouldn't think that we are...umm ...together?"

"No they understand that you are just my friend. I'll talk to them. Don't freak out." Just then Shelby walked out of the house. "Nathan I'll give you a call later, I have to go actually."

"Bye." Shelby then got in the car.

"Who was that?" she said in a rather high pitched voice but quietly. She always had that annoying voice that if she talked to much it would get rather annoying.

"Ahh. Nathan." She looked at me confused.

"I thought you didn't like to talk to him on the phone." I looked at her and smiled.

"Yea, I'm not the one that called; he called me. He was worried that I was leaving." she raised her eyebrows.

"He knows your only moving to Maloon right?"
