The next morning Caden was putting everything into boxes. It just hit her that she finished her very first year of college, it didn't end very well for her, but she had fun throughout the year. Time really goes by fast when you are having fun.
Picking up every single thing, remembering the story behind it. The picture of the soccer team together, photos of her friends back in North Carolina and Iowa, where she originally was from, her soccer shirts, pants and many more clothes she bought throughout the year. Even all of the notebooks with all her great notes, and the bad ones when she just wasn't in the mood to pay attention. After around half an hour Caden was almost done, she looked over at the pictures she had in her wall, those were the only left.
The first ones she knew she was going to store them and possibly never get them out again. Those were pictures of her and Jackson throughout highschool, there was them at senior prom, them at a soccer game and even them kissing, as much as she hated the cheesiness of it. Her eyes were slowly watering, Caden wasn't going to got through the torture of crying every time something reminded her of Jackson. Removing the pictures quickly, she put them at the end of the box.
As time passed Caden only had one more picture, it was one of the whole family. It was rare having them all together in one single photograph. Her mom looked just like her, she worked as a doctor. Most of the days she comes back home late, she receives many calls a day and quickly she has to leave what she is doing and go help. It reminded her of Mama McCall from Teen Wolf, they both were very alike. Her dad was a chemistry teacher, hence why she wanted to study biochemistry, she liked it because of her dad. He was mostly grading papers and preparing lessons for the day and Caden never wanted to interrupt him.
Many people can't see but the Díaz parents share a very good relationship, it may look like they never get to see eachother but truth is, they always make up for the time they are away. When they are not working they mostly go on date nights, or just spend a night in watching movies and cuddling.
The other person on the photo was Cole, her older brother. When he turned 18, Caden being 16, he left home to live on his own. It had been his dream ever since he was a junior in high school. He had the money to do it, and so he left for L.A and has been living there ever since. Caden missed him, they lost the relationship they had when he moved, it wasn't that they hated eachother, but they didn't talk as much as they used to. They just weren't close anymore, but still cared deeply about one another. It was during these times that Caden needed her brother with her, he was the one that told her about how Jackson liked the attention he was getting and such. She missed him, maybe she could visit him soon, now that she is 18.
Caden finished packing and scanned the room quickly, so many things happened there, it was sad leaving the place. Mindlessly walking around the hallways, passing through the cafeteria and more places was the only thing left to do until her mom texted her. All of Caden's friends were either packing or left early in the morning, none of them lived in North Carolina like Caden did, they were all from different states.
Not too long after Caden sat down in one of the couches of the main rooms she received a text from her mom, informing her that she was outside. A beautiful black car she recognized as her mom's was at the front of the entrance, the woman inside crazily waving at her daughter, a big smile on her face. She got out of the car, "Caden! Oh how much I've missed you," they both embraced in a hug.
Seeing her mom was very comforting. "I'm great mom. I have lots to tell you." Her mom nodded and helped her daughter with her bags and suitcase, after everything was stored safely they both got in the car. "So tell me what I've missed since spring break honey." A long drive awaited them, full of memories of all types.
Meanwhile in L.A, Cole was hanging out with his friends in his house, this happened most days a week considering they lived so close to eachother. Cole was friends with a famous boy band, PRETTYMUCH to be exact, they met at the gym when Cole was lost and couldn't find his way back home. The boys all went to lunch together and spent the whole day talking and getting to know eachother.
