Rainy mornings meant staying home, and that's something Caden loved to do. An early bird by heart, she woke up at seven in the morning, it was a habit she always had. Eating a chocolate cupcake, she sat down back on the bed and opened her computer. Today she was going to try and FaceTime Eva, it had been awhile and they needed to catch up as soon as possible. Her mom was downstairs talking on the phone while her dad was in the garage working on the car, he loved cars and when he had the chance to check up on his own one he took it.

The FaceTime screen was now showing on Caden's computer. Looking through her contacts she clicked on her best friend, now she just needed to wait.

"Cad! It's been so long I've missed you so much." Her voice could be heard making Caden smile warmly. "We need to catch up bitch, what's new?"

"Have you seen my recent?" Eva shook her head. "I haven't, I've been so busy lately with everything I rarely touched my phone." Caden took a sip of her lemonade. "Basically, me and Jackson broke up. He cheated on me at a party 2 days ago." Gasping, Eva covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes widened.

"No fucking way, men truly ain't shit. After 4 years? Are you sure it was him?" When celeb couples or couples Eva knew in general had problems or broke up, she was the one that said that that's why she became a lesbian. This always made Caden laugh, thus the men ain't shit slogan was born.

"He admitted it when I confronted him about it through text. Get your phone I'll send you the screenshots." Eva's phone started to light up, she was looking and reading all of the texts while muttering swear words, typical.

"I needed to have sex? What you needed was a whack in the head." The girls both stood quiet. "I guess he really was an asshole, but anyways, how's everything? Harvard? Family? A special someone?" Caden winked after the last question, making Eva snort.

"Oh God no don't do that." They both laughed. They really did miss each other, it was sweet talking again and feeling closer. "Classes went very well, I got top marks. Mom and dad are doing excellent too, he's really enjoying the job here. A girl or two caught my eye but nothing never really happened, there's this one girl that's hella cute."

"Ooooo what's her name? I need the details." She felt even better when she saw Eva blush a bit, she seemed a bit attracted to the girl by the way she talks about her, like she's the best person in the world. She didn't have anyone now to fill that spot, and that made her thoughts a mess again. Thinking she was not enough.

"If something happens between us you'll be the first person to meet her." Caden nodded her head, still off about the situation with Jackson.

The girls talked for a while about everything they could think of. From boys to girls to school, even about their family. Eva wanted to know how Cole was doing with his new friends in L.A, and Caden wanted to know how Eva was adjusting to the new place. After a little more talk about Georgetown soccer and their season, and revealing some songs that Eva had written, it was time to end the call.

"Cad I'll miss you so much! I'm going to try and come visit later this summer. Oh and by the way, don't even think about Jackson, girl he's gone now. If you need anything or you feel down call me as soon as you can." Eva waved at the screen with a big smile, Caden did the same. "I'll try not to, but I'll text you if anything happens. Please do visit you know all lf the people here leave around July and don't come back until school starts and I don't want to get bored." Eva was about to end the call when Caden interrupted her. "Oh and by the way, if anything happens with the girl then you better text me."

"Will do hoe, bye!" You couldn't see Eva anymore which made Caden feel down again. She needed to get rid of the thoughts roaming through her head, it just hurted more when she thought about everything. To get her mind off Jackson she texted a few of her friends from Georgetown, mostly part of the soccer team since they bonded the most. After being on Instagram, Snapchat and more she got tired of her phone and went downstairs to get something to eat.
