"So..." Caden looked at Zion. They were in the restaurant looking at the menu. The place wasn't very crowded but it still had some people.
"So?" Zion asked the girl, looking up from his menu and staring at her. "What are you going to order?" Zion shrugged, looking back down.
"You ok? You look out of it." Zion looked back up at the girl. He couldn't stop thinking about the moments in the park and it made him not get her out of his head.
"Yeah just hungry." She nodded and looked back down at the menu. A waiter came to their table smiling at them.
"Hey what can I get you to drink?" Caden answered him and looked at Zion. The boy, still looking disinterested, stared at the waiter.
"Are you Zion Kuwonu from Prettymuch?" The waiter asked when he saw him better. Zion nodded, and forced a smile. "Dude my girlfriend loves your music! Do you mind if I sent her a video of you?" He shook his head and grabbed his phone.
After the encounter Zion put the menu down and proceeded to stare at Caden. "I'm bored what can we talk about?"
Caden had two things on her mind bothering her. The text from Elom and one more thing that she wasn't sure if telling Zion would end well.
"Any girls in your life Z?" She winked, making Zion smirk. "Why would you ask that? Is someone interested in me?" He leaned over and hit her shoulder, Caden shaking her head.
"No Z, it's just you are the only single one of the group, is there someone?" Zion felt hurt. She just confirmed she wasn't interested in him. She couldn't know he actually was, at least not now.
How can you make a move on someone? That was the question Zion kept asking himself.
"There's one yeah," he blushed just thinking about Caden, "but she lives in Canada and besides, I don't think she really wants a relationship at the moment."
Caden genuinely felt sorry for Zion. The poor boy just wanted someone and he couldn't get a girlfriend. She took his hand, reassuring him with a small smile. "Time changes a lot of things Z, just let it pass."
"Yeah well I hope time changes things fast, because I hate how it makes me feel."
The waiter came back to give them their drinks and ask for what they wanted to eat. Both said their preferences and waited for the food.
They avoided the topic brought previously and talked about the boys, the new house and how everything's going. They laughed, and had a lot of fun.
"So you guys are planning going on tour?" Caden asked when their burgers arrived, watching Zion nod. "That's cool! Come to D.C if it happens."
"Just to see you." He winked.
Zion and Caden ate fast, they were both starving. The rest of the boys and Cole were going back home, they were going to hang around and wait for Zion to come back.
