Chapter 2

----How's your day guys?

Nabasa kong message ng isa kong kaibigan na si Tin sa aming group chat. Kaming magkakaibigan ay mayroong group chat kung saan we keep ourselves updated to our individual whereabouts. This is also our way to keep our communication open kahit di man kami palaging nag uusap. Usually trabaho din ang pinag uusapan namin sa GC. I put my phone aside and took a deep breath. Same old typical day. Walang pinagbago: eat, sleep, wakeup. Yes, it is my usual routine. Life of being a professional tambay. Knowing it, it sucks.

Another sound na narinig ko that means another notification. I checked my phone and got up.

---Busy sa trabaho. Toxic kanina with my patients. Ang dami nila isama mo pa ang walang humpay na diet instructions.

Reply ni Cla. That was another slap on my face. When your friends are busy doing their tasks in their respective workplace. Argh! I feel so stupid. Staying at home is like one of the worst cases in my life especially if I'm not earning. Well, I still do but it is much better if I work in the clinical field again. You know, where you can really apply all your knowledge and that makes you more credible. Being affiliated in a health care institution is a big plus for my profession.

---Kami din. Grabe ang daming hypertensive ngayon pati na rin ang mga diabetics. Isama niyo pa ang dengue outbreak, maulan pa naman ngayon ang season.

Sagot din yan ng isa pa naming kaibigan na si Chin. Well yeah, usapang trabaho.

---Can't relate. Waaaah! I feel so stupid!

Yan yung reply ko. Totoo naman eh. I feel so inutil.

---Okay lang yan L. May reason naman kung bakit di kapa nagwowork ngayon.

Reply ulit ni Chin. Yeah, everything happens for a reason. I believe to that but sometimes you'll still feel anxious about it. Being unemployed isn't as easy as one, two, three. Sunod sunod na bumaba ang mga bilog ng iba pa naming mga kaibigan. SEEN.

---Oo nga naman L. But if you want marami ka din naman maaapplyan.

Sagot ni Cla. Yeah marami nga pero di pa pwede ngayon or ngayon na nga ang tamang oras?

---Yeah. Iaasa nalang natin sa panahon. I'll be back guys. Kain lang ako.

It was some sort of an excuse because ayoko ng pag-usapan ang ganoong topic. Pinipilit kong bumaba galing ng kama kasi kailangan ko na talagang gumalaw. I hope that this day will be productive. As soon as I have stood up, I heard my stomach grumble. I checked the wall clock of my room and it's past eight in the morning already. Kaya pala tumutunog na ang tiyan ko.

I left my room and walked downstairs. I saw my sister still in front of her computer. She is very busy.

"Good morning Ate." I greeted her.

She glance at me and replied, "Good morning. Kain kana." Pagkatapos niyang magsalita ay balik computer nanaman ang mga mata niya. I headed to the fridge to get some fresh milk and took a glass at the same time sa lalagyan.

I poured approximately 200ml at umupo sa mesa. Nakahain na ang agahan nang pumasok si Mommy Bear ng bahay.

"Kain Mommy." I invited her.

"Tapos na ako. Kakagising mo lang?" She asked at dumiretso ng sink para maghugas ng kamay. Galing siya siguro sa labas para mag walking.

"Opo. Sarap matulog." Tanging naisagot ko pero wala lang din naman siyang idinugtong pa.

"L, pwede mo kong bilhan ng pizza?" Tanong ng ate ko without throwing a gaze on me.

"Vegetarian?" I asked while isinubo ko ang sandwich ko.

"Ano mas masarap?" Tanong niya at tinignan ako.

"Vegetarian lang gusto ko eh." Gusto ko lang. Hehe. I'm not a fan of pepperoni and the others. Mas gusto ko ang may touch of veggie or fruits. Kaya keri na ang hawaiian. Mwehehe.

"Yung pinakamalaking size kukunin ko?" Tanong ko sa kanya. Sarap talaga ng lettuce sa sandwich ko. Alam mo yung halong mayonnaise tapos fried egg and the wheat bread? Mesherep!

"Kaya mong ubusin?" She asked at tumayo. Pumunta siya ng room niya at lumabas dala pitaka niya. Hehehe. Pizza at pumupuso ang aking mata. It's been a while since the last time that I ate one.

"Eto." She handed me her card. "Mag grocery ka na din siguro and can you buy yellow pad and a dozen of long white folders?"

"Areglado." Sagot ko at nag thumbs up.

"Mommy, may ipapadala ka?" I asked Mommy na busy sa pag kihad ng gulay.

"Yung gatas ko nalang." Tugon niya at patuloy pa rin sa ginagawa niya.

"Okisses!" Tinapos ko na ang pagkain ng sandwich ko at pumasok ulit sa kwarto.

Naghanap ako ng maisusuot sa cabinet. This is the hardest part, ang pumili ng masusuot. Yung tipong ang dami mong damit pero di mo alam kung ano ang pipiliin mo. Katulad lang yan sa love. Maraming dumadating para manligaw pero ni isa sa kanila ay wala kang pinili. Hindi sila sapat. Choss. Haha! My plain white T-shirt caught my eye at ang green shorts ko. Ito nalang sususotin ko, comfy. I prepared my clothes and took a quick shower. Pagkatapos kong magbihis ay kinuha ko na kaagad ang phone ko at ang wallet ko. I jumped on my Birkenstock Footwear at bumaba ng dining area. Nandun pa din ang ate ko na busy sa harap ng computer niya. She is pregrant and heck of a busy person. She teaches and at the same time goes to school for her Masters. Palagi pang puyat kaya minsan tinutulungan ko na din siya sa mga presentations niya. That's me helping and it's a perk of being a professional tambay. What do you say huh?

"Keys?" I asked and grinned.

She won't let me use her car because I'm such a fast driver. Not to boast.😉 But I just want to drive fast with care naman eh. Lalo pa at nagmamadali ako palagi kasi I don't want to be late sa mga appointments ko with friends and other errands. Hey I'm a tambay.

"You have your own car, why use mine?" She asked while kumuha ng food sa fridge.

"Because inutusan mo ako at gamit mo ang bibilhin ko kaya sasakyan mo. Hehe." I answered at pinanlakihan ako ng mata.

"Hindi ka kakain ng pizza?" Tinanong niya ako. Loko talaga tong ate ko. Ayaw talaga magpahiram ng sasakyan.

"Kakain." Sagot ko naman at nag sad face.

"So use your car. Baka gagamitin ko yung akin mamaya." So I have no choice but to use mine.

"Owkaaaaaaaaay." Sabay talikod. "Mommy, alis muna ako." Pagpapaalam ko and kissed her cheeks.

"Mag ingat ka ha?" Tugon niya.

"Okay po." At sumibat na ako.

Pagkadating ko sa parking area ng mall, dumiretso na ako sa National Bookstore at bumili ng dapat bibilhin. Tinungo ko ang area ng mga folders and somebody caught my attention. Gwapo. Matangkad siya, maputi, almond eyes, bakat ang biceps at heck! Hoooooot! Mesherep te seye mge beshhh. Nomnom! Pumipili din siya sa mga colored folders at pink yung hinahawakan niya na kakulay ng shorts niya. He is wearing a white shirt also at naka white shoes. Don't get me wrong but I smell something fishy here. Naghanap na din ako ng white folder but my senses is on him. I'm observing his actions by my peripheral vision. Until nakita ko yung kanang kamay niya na humawak sa pisnge niya. Alam niyo yung action sa chorus ng Boom Boom na sayaw nila Nancy sa Momoland ba yun? Yun na yun ang pilantik. Mga besh! Confirmed! Kasama sa federation ang lolo niyo! Nababawasan na ang mga Adan sa Earth! Oh my M to nth power! Natigilan ako ng magsalita siya over the phone. Boses lalake naman talaga siya until I heard him say " charot". Ohmegaaaaz! Sayang.☹☹☹
