Letty was seated together with the other members of the board kasama na si Von.

"Miss, don't you have any plans to get married? Or are you in a relationship with Mr. Majistrado here?" Tanong ng isa sa mga ito kay Letty. Nasamid naman ang dalaga sa kanyang narinig.

"Believe it or not Sir. It's been three years since the last time we've met besides we are just best friends." She defended.

"And I have my long term girl friend." Sabat naman ni Von sa mga ito.

"Sayang naman. Bagay pa naman kayong tignan." Gatong naman ng isa pa dito.

"Bagay nga naman po talaga kami. Pero hindi kami meant to be. Pinagtagpo lang pero hindi itinadhana. Isama niyo na po ang nafriend zone." Sabay naman napahalakhak ang mga board members sa sinabi ni Letty at nakaagaw iyon ng pansin mula sa ibang mesa.

"Si Letty ba yun?" Tanong ni Hazelnut kay Chestnut.

"Baka kamukha lang. Binuhusan ko kasi siya kanina ng orange juice. Nakapasok kasi ang hampas lupang yun. Hindi niya deserve na pumasok dito kasi tayo lang ang pwede. High class tayo at isa lang siyang ultimo na katulong. Paunti-unti makakabangon din tayo. Kailangan lang natin na makahanap ng mayaman dito para magkapera din tayo ng atin." Mahabang pahayag ni Chestnut sa kambal niya.

"Tama. Kung sa bagay, saan siya makakahanap ng ganyan ka ganda na damit?" Pero sa loob-loob ni Hazelnut ay hindi siya naniniwala. Hindi siya kumbinsido sa pahayag ni Chestnut. Hahanap ito ng paraan para malaman ang katotohanan.

"Let's call on one of our VIPs tonight. From the Vay Group of Companies, Mr. Von Majistrado." Everyone applauded and stood up. Tinungo ni Von ang stage at nakipagkamay ito sa host na lalake.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Don't worry this won't take long so that we can eat already." He jokingly started and everyone laughed.

"Well, it was an honor for the Vay Group of Companies to be invited in this occasion. I know that you were expecting for the CEO to come but he can't because he is attending on some important matters right now. The fact that you all know that he is a private person. So in his behalf, I am here. Gwapo naman ako kaya hindi rin kayo mauumay." He joked again.

"Loko-loko." Komento naman ni Letty. She shook her head in disbelief.

"Anyway, we have heard of Montecillo Corporation and the fact that this is a growing company. We have checked the background, the vision, mission and their goals. I believe that these are the foundations of a well-rounded company. They serve not just for them as owners but because they want to serve the public. One reason why a company succeeds. Do you know what it is? Anyone?" He asked and raised his right hand but no one answered.

"Compassion. That should be a part of your core values. We've been talking excellence. We need to excel in this and that but we have forgotten compassion. Let us not all forget that we need others for us to succeed especially in a growing company like this. Or the other way around, we will help them. I'll tell you why Vay Group of Companies leveled on top? It's because of the compassion that they have for the people. They have lots of charity institutions to sponsor, they have lots of children to send to school and those who have graduated are now working in their company. And that's what other companies admire about them. Well, not to mention that the Vay family is living a simple life and they live like normal people. They go to public without any bodyguards or what. Their life is so simple." When he said those, he was looking at Letty. She just smiled to him and the board of directors felt the thought of it.
