Before Fame ~ Anabel Pokémon Story

Chapter 7

When Anabel got done talking to her mother, the wild Caterpie came up to Anabel. "Hi, there, Caterpie. Thank you for saving me." She tells the wild pokémon. Caterpie cried out happily and he nudged one of her empty pokéballs.

"You wanna come with me?" Anabel asked Caterpie. Caterpie smiled at Anabel and he tapped one pokéball and it sucked him in with a red light surrounding him. He got captured with no shaking.

"My first caught pokémon." Anabel cheered out happily and quietly. Eevee leaped onto Anabel's shoulder and she smiled gently at her. Misty watched the exchange between the two. She has such a strong bond with pokémon in general. She thought.

Misty thought that the girl could get stronger in her pokémon training. "Hey." Misty called out to Anabel.

"Yes, Misty?" Anabel responds to Misty. Misty smiled.

"Do you want to train with me?" Misty asked. Anabel was shocked at Misty's offer. Anabel wasn't a seasoned trainer capable of even battling Misty for her second badge and yet- A giggle erupted from Anabel as Eevee took this chance to tickle her with her tail.

"Eevee, that tickles." Anabel managed to say, but she wasn't stopping Eevee with her hands. Eevee smiled as she didn't like Anabel thinking too hard. She just wanted her to say yes. She knows that Anabel will agree. "Misty, yes! I want...to train with you." Anabel says, bursting out with cute giggles. Eevee felt that this was her punishment for taking too long to answer the question.

When Eevee finally stopped her tickling assault on her trainer, she leaped into her arms. "Great! The training will be hard." Misty warns Anabel. They went outside to a rocky terrain.

"I'm ready, Misty." She tells Misty. Misty smiled at Anabel.

"Great! I'll be using my pokémon that I use for Gym Battles. Is that okay?" Misty asked. Anabel nodded her head. "Okay, Staryu, come help us out!" Misty calls out Staryu, who was a star pokémon.

"Wow! It's so star looking." Anabel says, taking out her Pokédex and scanning the Water type pokémon. Misty smiled at Anabel's child-like innocence. She was happy that she had no ill will against her attackers.

Anabel looked between Eevee and Caterpie's pokéball. Eevee smiled and she helped Anabel pick. Eevee put her paw on Caterpie's pokéball. "You want to sit out, Eevee?" Anabel asked.

"Vee!" Eevee says, climbing onto Anabel's shoulder.

"I'm going to go with Caterpie."  Anabel says, staring at Misty with confidence.

Misty smiled. "Staryu! Water Gun!" Misty ordered.

"Dodge it, Caterpie!" Anabel reacted quickly. Caterpie used String Shot to pull himself behind a rock. Misty was shocked at this. "Tackle Staryu using String Shot to pull yourself towards Staryu." Anabel says, wanting to try something. Caterpie as she ordered and the attack had slammed Staryu on the ground. It's down, but not out. Anabel thought.

"Staryu, can you still go on?" Misty asked her pokémon. Staryu responded by getting up and it's middle glowing. "Great! Rapid Spin!" Misty ordered.

"Caterpie! Same strategy!" Anabel ordered. Caterpie easily obeyed, however, Misty wasn't finish with her attack.

"Staryu, use Tackle now!" Misty said, surprising Anabel and Caterpie. Caterpie couldn't dodge in time and the attack damaged him greatly.

"Caterpie!" Anabel shouted, worried. Caterpie glowed white and he got bigger. When he revealed his new form, he glowed white again. He revealed his brand-new form as a Butterfree!
