Before Fame ~ Anabel Pokémon Story

Chapter 18

Anabel was rubbing Eevee's head. She was worried, very worried. What was that?! Eevee changed first and then I changed. Anabel thought that she was a demon until Darkrai reassured her that she wasn't a demon. If you were a demon, you wouldn't have a heart. You have a heart and you are the nicest child I have met. Darkrai tells Anabel.

Eevee agreed with Anabel, although she was worried as well. She was easily corrupted by her cockiness and in the process, almost gotten killed in a battle. "Vee!" Eevee tells Anabel that she wanted another go at Raichu.

"Are you sure?" Anabel asked concerned about Eevee.

Vee! Eevee!" Eevee happily answered Anabel's question. Yes, she is read, no, we are ready. Lt. Surge, get ready to be defeated. She thought. Eevee climbed onto Anabel's shoulder.

"I believe you, Eevee. Hey, Darkrai, what are the odds?" Anabel asked. Considering that Eevee is 100% herself, I say the odds are at least 80% chance of you winning the third badge. Darkrai tells Anabel, who grinned. Anabel thought about for a long moment.

"Alright. Eevee, we're going in strong!" She tells Eevee.

They ran back into Lt. Surge's gym. "You're back. Are you ready and willing this time?" He questioned. Honestly, he was worried about the girl because the way she had looked broken scared him.

"Yes, we are ready and willing!" Anabel tells Lt. Surge, who grinned. They went to the battlefield and Lt. Surge released Raichu from its pokeball. "Alright, Eevee! Round 2! I choose you!" Eevee leaped off of Anabel's shoulder and she landed on the battlefield.

"Battle begin!" The referee called out.

"Okay, Raichu, Slam!" Raichu ran in headstrong and Anabel and Eevee was ready this go around.

"Dodge it!" She ordered Eevee. Eevee followed her commands swiftly and carefully. "Swift!" Eevee obeyed the order and the attack hits Raichu in its stomach.

Raichu grunted in pain and it knew that it was having a very great challenge this time with Eevee. "Your pokemon is better than last time." Lt. Surge commented Anabel.

"Yes and we are better than ever." Anabel announced to Lt. Surge. Lt. Surge smiled at Anabel's dedication.

"Raichu, Thunderbolt!" Lt. Surge ordered his pokemon. Raichu's attack almost hit until Eevee rolled out of the way.

Raichu became anger and it unleashed Thunder, a attack that hits Eevee hard. "Vee!" Eevee cried out in pain and yet, she remained standing.

"Don't ever go that again, Raichu!" Lt. Surge bellowed angrily. He lost his temper. He thought. Raichu was ashamed of his actions as he had nearly killed Eevee. "She's fighting fairly." Lt. Surge continued to talk to Raichu.

Raichu was quick to use Slam once again, however, Eevee was able to dodge the attack. "Eevee! Shadow Ball!" Anabel ordered. Eevee obeyed the order and the attack slams into Raichu.

Raichu flew into the wall of the gym, but he wasn't down just yet. Eevee used Quick Attack, an attack that hurts Raichu even more due to his defenses being down.

Raichu ended up fainting as he couldn't take any more punishment. Lt. Surge was upset that he lost, but he returned Raichu to his pokeball happily. "You beat me. Here's the Thunder Badge!" Lt. Surge announced to Anabel, who grinned despite being worried about Raichu. Eevee returned to her shoulder.

"You were great, Eevee." Anabel tells Eevee.

"Vee!" Eevee answered her trainer's praise with a cry of happiness.

"Alright, we have the Thunder Badge!" Anabel cheered out happily. After she bid farewell to Lt. Surge, she visited the pokemon center for a visit for Eevee so Eevee could heal up.

After the small visit, Anabel headed off to another city that was called Celedon City. However, she wanted to catch from new friends before she entered the city.

Hey, guys, I know, I took a long time to write this chapter. I actually had a long bout of writer's block, which caused me to write other stories, but I finally received my spark back for this story! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter!
