Chapter 11

Anabel and Eevee saw a wild Abra crying for its mother. "It's a baby Abra. Anabel, you need to catch it before poachers capture it." Eevee wisely tells Anabel. "I agree with you, but Abra is a Psi Pokemon. It might Teleport out of fear." Anabel tells Eeevee.

Eevee convinced her to just talk to Abra. Anabel walked up to the crying Abra and when Abra noticed her, it Teleported into her arms, wanting comfort. Anabel was shocked at this, but Eevee wasn't. She knew that Anabel had enough maternal instinct for a baby pokemon to notice. "Abra is a newly born pokemon." Anabel commented. Anabel used the pokedex and it told her everything about Abra, even its gender, which was male.

Abra has a great moveset, but he's just a baby still. I have to wait until he grows up to train him up. She thought. Abra willingly caught himself in one of Anabel's pokeballs. Anabel let Abra come out so she could carry him in her arms. They traveled to the gym, where Misty was very pleased to see Anabel with her increased strength and pokemon. "Misty, I'm back." Anabel greeted Misty.

Misty knew that Anabel was a different serious trainer after she trained her. "So, teacher vs student, huh? This will be better than the training battle, don't you agree?" Misty asked, holding a pokeball in her hand.

"Yes, I agree, Misty. Okay Abra, your big brother and sister are going to battle and I want you to watch, alright?" Anabel asks Abra with a sweet tone of voice. Abra answered her by climbing onto her head and holding her hair. Misty smiled a soft smile. It's like seeing a mother with her curious son. She thought.

"Misty, I'm going to referee!" Lily shouted at Misty. Misty gave her older sister a thumb-up and she turn back to Anabel.

"The battle between Misty and the challenger Anabel will begin. The battle will be over when two pokemon are either side are unable to continue. Are both trainers ready?" Lily asked. Both trainers gave a nod of confirmation. "Battle begin!"

"Staryu! Take the stage!" Misty calls out Staryu, who was ready to battle. Anabel smiles and she takes out Butterfree's pokeball and she grins at the pokeball.

"Battle with me, my friend!" Anabel calls out Butterfree.

"We'll take the first move! Staryu! Tackle!" Staryu moved to attack Butterfree, but Butterfree quickly dodged the attack. Misty was shocked at Butterfree's increased speed. Woah! She has been training. She thought.

"Butterfree, use String Shot Tackle." Anabel calmly ordered. Butterfree quickly attacked and the attack highly damaged Staryu.

"Staryu, can you still go on?" Misty asked, seeing her first pokemon struggle to get up, but it couldn't get up. "Lily, call Staryu out." Misty ordered.

"Staryu is unable to continue, Butterfree wins!" Lily says, sensing that Misty was very serious.

"Staryu, return! You were great, take a good rest." Misty returns Staryu. Anabel returns Butterfree.

"Wow! You put Staryu out of commission without fainting it. You're a great trainer. I'll win this next round, however. Misty calls Starmie!" The fully evolved pokemon came out ready to battle.

Anabel tugged at her sleeve slightly. "Eevee, my friend!" Anabel calls out to Eevee, who ran out in the battlefield. Lily gazed at the two.

"Battle begin!" She shouted.

"Starmie! Water Pulse!" Misty ordered. Starmie fired a ball of water at Eevee. Shadow Ball. Anabel thought to Eevee, who fired the attack at Water Pulse. The two attacks collided, causing an explosion that caused smoke to rise. Starmie jumped into the water, but so did Eevee.

When the cleared, both pokemon was in the water. Misty was surprised at this. Starmie is faster in water. She thought. "Rapid Spin!" She shouted. Starmie's quick speed in water didn't shock Eevee, instead, she was smirking.

"Iron Tail." Anabel calmly ordered. Eevee, still a smirk on her face, used Iron Tail on Starmie, who wasn't expecting the Steel-type attack. Despite the move not being very effective on Water-types, it damaged Starmie greatly. Eevee's tail had glow a white color when she used Iron Tail, so she was glad it wasn't actually the color of iron.

"Iron Tail? That's a high level attack!" Misty shouted in shock. She knew Eevee was good, but this was too good. This was powerful!

"Starmie! Take Down!" Misty ordered.

"You too, Eevee!" Anabel ordered as well. Both pokemon rushed at each other, however, Eevee's tail glowing white again. Misty didn't notice it until Eevee turned around to attack Starmie with both Take Down and Iron Tail.

Starmie fainted from the combination. Misty wasn't shock as she accepted her loss. "Starmie is unable to battle. Anabel wins!" Lily announced, making Misty returning Starmie to its pokeball.

"Great job, Starmie. The challenger was a little too good for us this time." Misty says with a smile on her face.

Misty walks up to Anabel as Eevee climbs onto Anabel's shoulder. "That was a great battle. Be careful with Lt. Surge. His Raichi is extremely powerful." Misty tells Anabel. Anabel took her advice to heart. "Here's the Cascade Badge! Good luck with the rest of your journey!" Misty tells Anabel, who nodded her head.

"Thank you, Misty. Hey, guys, we won the...Cascade Badge!" Anabel was glad that she had finally defeated Misty after struggling against issues before the gym battle.

Anabel went back to the pokemon center and she stayed there for the.   next. As she got ready for bed, all of her pokemon curled up on the bed. Even Darkrai was sleeping on the bed Abra was sleeping between Eevee and Butterfree. My friends. She thought, falling to sleep with them.
