Before Fame ~ Anabel Pokémon Story

Chapter 3

Eevee growled at the man. The man smirked at Eevee and Eevee was ready to battle. "You have spunk, but your trainer isn't back yet." At that comment, Eevee fired a Shadow Ball at the man. However, Charmander stopped the attack with it's Scratch attack.

Anabel's father was still in grief over his dumb quick decision. Because of me, Anabel will fear battling. He thought. He released Persian from its pokéball. The pokémon growled softly. "Help Anabel's Eevew." He ordered. Persian nodded it's head and it ran towards where the battle was.

When Persian saw Anabel's condition, it got angry it fired a Hyper Beam at Charmander. Charmander dodged the attack and the man glared at the fully evolved pokémon. "Stay out of this. This doesn't concern you." He tells Persian. Persian, however, doesn't take orders from people it don't like.

Persian glared at the man. "Persian, Hyper Beam!" Anabel's father ordered angrily when he was able to get rid of his guilt somewhat. Persian happily obeyed and the Hyper Beam knocked out Charmander. The man growled.

"Don't interfer with our battle." The man growled out in anger. He stared at Anabel with a smirk. She's not in battle formation. Well, let's change that. He thought.

"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip on the girl." He ordered, releasing the Plant Pokémon. It was when Anabel felt the sting from Vine Whip that she returned to reality. She felt something wet on her arm and she felt it. When she looked at her hand, she saw blood.

She gazed at Bulbasaur, who was smiling evilly at her and she switched her gaze to Eevee, who was worried about her. She then regained the shine in her eyes as she smiled. Happy tears streamed down her face as her smile turned into a large grin that was ready for anything to be thrown at her. "Eevee! Shadow Ball!" Anabel shouted out her very first order that was with confidence.

Eevee obeyed her as a purple ball gathered up energy in her mouth. She fired the attack at Bulbasaur, who took it and barely survived. Bulbasaur glared at Eevee and Eevee smirked at the Plant Pokémon.

"Solar Beam!" The man was running out of time. He needed to get finish with the test, now. His human form was going to expire.

Bulbasaur obeyed and it built up sunlight from the very bright Sun. It fired the beam at Eevee and Anabel was quick to shout her next order.

"Eevee! Use Protect!" Eevee used Protect and the Solar Beam hits the protective covering.

When the smoke from the collision had finally cleared up, Anabel saw the man's true form. She saw the black and white form and she saw the blue eyes. She knew who this Pokémon, but she thought that it belonged to the Sinnoh legendaries. What is Darkrai doing here in Kanto and why is it not in Sinnoh? She wondered.

When Darkrai was ready to flee, Anabel stopped him. "What are you doing here, King of Shadows?" She asked him.
